Neighbors? :scratchin we live in a development.

Right across the road is my sister and mom.

Both houses on either side of us are summer properties, so right now no one is there.
The one house next to my sister is a vacation rental.
The house on the other side of my sister a family lives there year round but you never see them.

As for the rest of the street, we don't know them.

The UK Disney stores have finally started selling pins and doing pin trading, they have some really cute ones!!

It's very exciting isn't it? My mum was given a starter lanyard for Christmas and she has bought 4 pins since then including 2 today and as she spent over £10 she got to buy a Thumper plush toy for a special price of £5.99! We all hope to have lanyards and some pins for our trip next year.

As for neighbours - right next door I have my aunt and uncle and to the other side a nice couple in their 60's. We live in a cul-de-sac of 12. Most of our neighbours are OK but we are good friends with any of them. There are 16 kids of a variety of ages but my DDs are getting to that age where they no longer wish to play with the little ones all the time.

I am now trying to make scones...we'll see how it turns out, and I will try out different recipes. When I tried them, they were on the dry side so I didn't care for them...but hopefully mines will be the opposite. So, today's QOTD is-

What do you think of scones? Do you like them or dislike them? What do you like to put on them?

I have tried plenty of different types of scones and they are always dry.

I like the fancy ones best, with strawberry jam.

Love scones....with cranberries in are my favorite.
They are dry....kind of a sweet biscuit.
I like them with just butter.....or with jam and butter if they are plain.
I hope to make some this coming week.

Nancy, do you have a recipe that you could share with me. How thick do you make your scones before you bake it?

I will see what I can find when I change computers............the other one has my recipes on it. I have tried a lot of recipes over the years, not sure I can remember which ones were really good. But I'll see what I can come up with it.

Thank you. I am looking for something simple that I can make using chocolate chips, fresh blueberries, or dried cranberries with maybe walnuts.

Well if you get a good basic recipe, you can add anything you like to it ::yes::

The recipe I made said to bake it at 425 for 25 minutes which was to high...I think I will either reduce the time, and keep checking the scones so that they do not burn.

I am about ready to go change computers, so I will see what I can find to help you.

Most of them look to cook about 10-12 minutes at between 400 and 425. 1" thick, but some 1 1/2" thick.

I don't know if I have ever eaten scones, so I can't help you there.

Two favorite pizza toppings - mushrooms and canadian bacon. Though my current favorite pizza is at Palios and it has chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach on it. And cheese, of course!

If you could pick five items that are priced below $20.00 each to go into your Easter basket, what would they be?

it depends mainly on what they have in the dollar store at the moment
maybe a 3-liter soda, chips, cookies, mmmmm... cookies, doughnuts, and..... (insert yummy food here).
