Welcome angiedora!

Just checking in with everyone. I've been out for a couple of days, had a hysterectomy Thursday but I'm back and home and doing well.

I have a question for you, has anyone had a hysterectomy and how did you do? Don't want to take over the thread, just curious.

Take care Kirby  .
My mom had gotten one a long time ago, and all that I can remember was that it took her a long time to recover, and that she was not able to carry heavy items.

I had a vasectomy, but I think that's different :)

Glad that you are back and doing well...

If you were to change your first name, what would you change it to?

I really like my name but I can never find "personalized" things with my name on it. So, I guess if I was going to change it I would say....

Combine my name and middle inital...

EVAN (although that does change me from a girl to a boy :rotfl2: it does insure that next time I am at WDW I can get a Mickey keychain with my name on it)

One of my DD's friends is called Evan and is a girl. It's unisex over here. My DD could sympathise with you though as she is called Rowan (also unisex) and can never get anything with her name on it.

I can't think of a name that I would prefer to Sarah. I'm used to it after 32 years! :rotfl:

I would change my name permanently to Trish. My formal name is Patricia, and have been called "Pat, Patty, Patsy, Trishy, Tricia, etc". Our friends call me Trish, and make things easier all around.

hmm...I've always liked the name Angelli...

My name is very unique.. Adabel. :goodvibes My mom liked Anabel, but didn't want people to call me Ana, so she started playing with the ABC's. :confused3 And then I got married and guess who started calling me Ada? In-laws...lol my mom wasn't too happy. lol

Just like Evita...I can forget about finding personalized items with my name on it.:sad1:

I feel for you Adabel, my MIL was named after a rowboat that had all the first initals of the names of her aunts on it. It's also a one of a kind name. Her name is Naidae, and I had one heck of a time remembering it when I first met my hubby, and even a longer time learning how to spell it:scared1:  . We asked her when I got preggers with my first child if she wanted the name handed down, she was adament that it not be passed on.:upsidedow

For my daughter's birthday celebration at school, we have 25 minutes in the afternoon. I had asked the teacher, and she said that either cupcakes or ice cream sundaes would be fine. So, if you were one of her classmates, which would you prefer? Should I serve water, milk, or juice with it?

Did you celebrate your birthday in school? If so, what did you do?

I would LOVE ice cream sundaes....but..won't it get melted by the time you get to school with the icecream, set up, & start serving?

My mom would bake a birthday cake and take it during our class lunch time.:wizard: Talking about birthdays...I asked DS daycare about 2 months ago and they said they could have pizza or cookies. I need to find out again since his b-day is coming up...He's turning 5 on Sept.9th.... Where does time go??

My husband, and I would go to the school with a cooler, and set everything up for the kids, so the ice cream would be okay. :)

That chocolate cake looks so good!!!!!

Have you thought about baking sugar cookies and letting the kids decorate them? Provide a couple different colors of icing and a small selection of toppings and let the kids be creative to their hearts content.

You might ask the teacher if anyone in the class has food allergies if you already haven't.

I had asked the teacher, and luckily there are no students with any food allergies.
We have done sugar cookie decorating twice for my kids birthdays, so I was thinking of something different. But, if we did not already do so, that would be a neat idea :).

No FOOD ALLERGIES!!! Wow, that's GREAT! You can really do anything you want I guess...

How about Frost your own cupcake? Give them a little frosting and have them take a disposable paint brush and they can "paint" their cupcake. Then have little cups of "toppings."

(Unless..that is too close to the cookies you have done before :upsidedow )

That sounds cute. We do not have that much time, and I know that 25 minutes will go by really fast. I think we will have to clean up, and have the kids ready to do their next activity by then, so will pass on that idea. But, will save it to do with my kids one day, thank you :).

Just wanted to check in and see how all our FL exchangers were doing?
Is Fay going to effect you? Stay safe!!
