Thanksgiving is just around the corner. What are your Thanksgiving plans?

My parents come in. Turkey and the works. I love baking pies. :goodvibes We take in strays, too. :lmao: This year our friends and their little girl aren't going back to Pgh, so they'll come, along with his dad. Our neighbor usually comes over, but he has a girlfriend this year--so I think he'll be at the "inlaws". I always want to fry my turkey, but DH likes it roasted. I used a brine last year that I loved so I'll do that again.

DD is coming for a week, so that is our special plans this year :yay: (Again...I SO want to be in AZ).

Nothing special other than that. Just the 3 of us.....sitting around doing nothing.
I will cook the regular TG dinner, but DD doesn't eat much of it. She is soooo picky.
Maybe we will go to a movie.

We'll be over at my mom's for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I'll probably do the turkey and take it over. I would like to have everyone over here but my dad is blind and partially deaf so he is more comfortable in his own surroundings. There will be eight of us altogether.

My brother will come and stay with us, and all the family that lives in town will get together for a big dinner....I'd guess there will be between 25 and 35 people total. I've been assigned pies and cookies. Should be fun! :yay:

If you were to go to an Italian restaurant, what would you order for the following?

*Appetizer-
*Entree-
*Dessert-

I don't eat out Italian very often but I'll tell you after I've eaten tomorrow night. I'm eating out with my BAMA (Band Alumni Mom's Association) group. We're going to a local Italian restaurant.

Part 1 - Well I'm English so we don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

Part 2 - For starters I would have a light pasta dish, main course probably a pizza or lasagna and for desert tiramissu.

Well, this Sat, my Dad's family is having a Holiday party which should be about 50 family members. They rented a hall, and we bring in everything else. :goodvibes

On TD, we're driving 2 hours into WI to be with DH's brother & sister-in-law, his Dad, sister and her family. We're all in IL, except the host/hostess, not sure why WE are traveling? :confused3

We don't eat out a lot, and never did Italian.

Yes we like having pancakes or waffles for dinner.

We eat them sometimes, but only certain kinds.
And more often for dinner than breakfast.

I'm a day or so behind.....

Well, we switch off the 3 big holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas) every year. So we do 2 in one state, 1 in the other. This year, Easter & Christmas in VA, TG in NY. So my 2 sisters are coming to NY to celebrate. Well, we hope my sister the lawyer will be able to make it, but she might not. :sad1: We'll have a traditional TG dinner at my sister Monica's house--turkey, cranberry sauce, etc. etc. etc. We'll watch football during the day & a DVD of Polar Express or some other Christmas type movie at night. I'm sleeping over because I may go shopping with my sister on Friday or I might just hang out at the house with the kids.

We don't go to Italian restaurants often because we're all good at making great Italian food ourselves. ;) But when I do go, I'll have garlic bread as an appetizer, chicken parm as an entree & tiramsu for dessert. :thumbsup2

Do you like eatting pancakes, and waffles for breakfast?

I love waffles! I like pancakes & since I've started breakfast exchanges & gotten some interesting pancake mixes, I've come to really like them. Yesterday for instance, I used the yummy blueberry pancake mix that Donna sent me in this year's exchange. They were awesome!

The smallest and least shedding!

My 1st dog was a mixed beagle, Tippy. Loved her to pieces. :dog:

We had a mutt after that, Buffy, everyone loved her to pieces too. :dog: After that we got an AKC (?) bichon, my parents did NOT like, we did tho, as we were grown, out-of-the-house adults. Dixie was NOT at all able to be house-broken, tho. Hence the reason my parents weren't happy with this one. :guilty:

Don't even ask me about CATS! Please! :headache:

I'm not a big dog fan, if I ever got one though I've always loved scotties and thought them to be cute. Until I ever crack, I'll stick with the point eared, long tailed, meowing kind.
