Our nearest "food places" (fast food and sit down) are about 25 mins away. I'm ok with that distance because I live in the boondocks and I like it that way! However, I'd like to see a Cracker Barrel or an Outback Steakhouse in town.

What is your most favorite type of seafood?

If you are allergic to seafood or dislike it, what is your most favorite dessert?

I generally don't eat seafood, not because I'm allergic but because I dislike it. I can't stand the stink of it. *shudder*:guilty: But I will, sometimes get a hankering for a McDonalds Fillet O'Fish or Long John Silvers platter. And I do like Red Lobster's Shrimp Scampi. So I will eat Some Sea food, It just can't taste FISHY.

My Very favoriteist dessert is a good key lime pie or Peanut butter icebox pie. OMG Squeee!

Since my daughter and I just made lemon muffins, and I now have strawberry muffins in the oven, the QOTD will be a breakfast related question.

What do you like to eat for breakfast on a regular work day, and also on a special family weekend like day where you have the time to cook a bigger breakfast?

I'm bad, I don;t eat breakfast, even though it's the MOST important meal of the day. however if I did, it would probably be eggs and bacon. Or if I didn't want to cook i would do oatmeal and yogurt.

**hehehe, catching up with QOTD**

If a chain restaurant were to come to your city, which would you want?

RED ROBIN! I saw a commercial for it on HGTV and remembered them from California! Heck we already have Mimi's and "Panda Express" (not quite the same as the one in California, but close" though I'd LOVE to see a Baja Fresh or DEL Taco out here too. *Cries about Del Taco not being east of Arizona*

I am way behind!! Just got back from CA....DDIL is graduated! party: Now to pass the bar in July

Restaurants...one of my favorite topics!! ::yes::
Dianna....we LOVE  Red Robin!! We just got one about 12 miles from here (that is close ;) ). I live 10 minutes from town, so I consider anything within 45 minutes "close".
I see that one is going in FL soon, so maybe they will do more and one will be near you.
Del Tacos are in my state, but none close enough :(
I do see my their locator map they are in some mid west states, so they are expanding too.
We went to Melting Pot for DS's rehearsal dinner, but it is 50 miles away.

What do you like to eat for breakfast on a regular work day, and also on a special family weekend like day where you have the time to cook a bigger breakfast?

On a normal day I have All Bran Buds and either grapefruit or strawberries. On the weekends, eggs and toast.
I would like to have pancakes and sausage .,....and blueberry muffins (but I am trying to be "good").

What is your most favorite month out of the year, and why?

December....I love holiday season time!! Decorations, good food and family.

I don't care for most seafood. If I have it I want it breaded and fried and drowned in some kind of sauce....like Dianna, it can't taste fishy!!

Dessert......a good chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies out of the oven.

Congratulations to your DDIL Nancy :cheer2: .

I would want a chinese restaurant called Sam Woo's to come here. Whenever we visit Las Vegas, we go there once or twice. They have yummy salt and pepper pork chops and mongolian beef

Welcome home Nancy. Congrats to your DDIL, :wizard: for the bar.

Dianna, as Emeril says if the fish smells fishy order something else. Fish if fresh should not have an Oder.
I have never eaten fish that tasted fishy either and I even like Sushi.

When you visit WDW or DL, do you have any special things that you do during each visit? Ex.-Eatting at a certain restaurant, having to take a picture with a certain character...?

We've only been one time so far as a family. But our first night, we had dinner at the Rose & Crown and got to see the fireworks from our outside table. We decide then and there that would be our first night ritual when we go back.

MGM is the park we always go to first.
We always eat at Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe.

I can't say we do anything special. We have our favorite restaurants, usually I let the kids pick and Coral Reef is always at the top of the list. I can't tell you how many light-up cubes we have!

I just enjoy that first step onto Main Street---I always say they use subliminal messages in the music, because I'm just instantly happy.

I enjoy it all!! ::yes::

We do always have to go have one meal at Le Cellier and one at 50's Prime Time.
Also have to see Illuminations.
And ride the boat between DTD and POR.

Now you'll know the truth about me... I'm really not a fan of the Parks so much. :rotfl: i was employed by them (DRC) and loved booking people's vacations for them, and loved the "magic" I could spread, and the little bits I could tell them about (Where to sit for the best views of the fireworks.. my favorite places... etc) but I honestly CAN'T stand the lines. So I don't go very often. Right now I have 2 employee tickets that expire in 2 months, and I'm trying to find a day to use them. *sigh*

That being said, When I do go, I HAVE to ride all the rollercoasters. The trip isn't complete until I do. Oh and I have to have a Disney Rice Crispy treat, because they are, BY FAR the very best... EVAR.

Oooh ::yes:: Nancy. A boat ride or 2 or 3 or.... :teeth: to Downtown Disney is always a must.
