So for the month of October, I need to cook/bake something with a bunch of pre-teen girls. When I think of Oct., I think of pumpkins, and apples. What sort of dishes, would be easy to make in a short period of time that the girls would be able to eat-(we already did pumpkin pies), and enjoy? I was thinking pumpkin pancakes, and pumpkin muffins. Ideas?
Buy a can of pumpkin puree (2 cups worth) and one box of Spice Cake mix.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and cook for 18-22 minutes (depending on the oven).
They are SO GOOD. I make them all the time, as they're an affordable work week snack (it costs less than 5 dollars and makes about 16 regular size muffins or 36 mini muffins). They turn out so moist on the inside, too.
Anyone have good caramel recipes that will stick onto the apples nicely, and tips? One tip that I know is to get the wax off of the apples, and to be sure it is not wet before dipping. Any others?
