I send cards, it's more personal that way. It's always nice to get something other than bills or junk in the mail.

Yes. I email, and such but I like the idea of sending, and receiving regular letters, cards for special occassions.... I feel that it is more of a personal touch.

Happy Easter!

I'm the guest host for the QOTD this week. Our question for today is:

What is your Easter lunch/dinner menu today and who are you eating it with?

We are having:

Ham
Green Beans
Mac and Cheese
Blackeyed peas
a Mixed greens/Spinach salad with strawberries, mandarin oranges, honey roasted sliced almonds and feta cheese
and a yellow cake that has a whipped cream, pineapple, vanilla jello and coconut as the icing (I don't know what mom's recipe calls it buy the one I make like it is called a Pig Piglet Cake)

We are eating at my parent's house. My sister, her husband, her MIL, her daughter and possibly DD's boyfriend, us and our daughter will be there.

Happy Easter!! And today is DH's birthday too :bday:

We are having Easter tea.............so tea, quiche, cucumber sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, turkey roll ups, deviled eggs, scones, cream puffs, chocolate covered strawberries.

There will be 9 of us......me, DH, DD, DS, DDIL.........4 friends of DS and DDIL.

Then later we do the birthday celebration. Going out to Red Robin. At least the 5 of us and whoever from the tea that stays around that long.
We have ice cream and red velvet cake for after dinner.

Happy Birthday to your husband Nancy!!! :cheer2:

Today, we had gone to my uncle's house, and there was a bunch of different foods. It was a potluck, so everyone brought this, and that. Here are some items- Poke, cone sushi, kalbi, fried shrimp, fried calamari, deviled eggs, grilled eggplant, grilled portabella mushrooms, korean chicken, mud pie, blueberry cream cheese dessert, assorted fruits, different jellos, cupcakes.... YUM!

Patsy, I would have loved to try some of the different foods at your brunch! Sounds like you had a good one!

So, the QOTD for Monday, 4/9 is:

What are your plans for today?

As for me, so far I've walked on my treadmill, been to WW, gone to the tax office to renew a couple of vehicle registrations, had the oil changed in Carol's car, cleaned up the kitchen, fed the dogs and started a load of laundry. I still need to go to the bank, work in the office, meet Carol later for dinner (about 40 minutes away) and trade cars with her.

We always have a wide spread of different foods. And plus living here, it is a melting pot, so there is a mix of foods from different cultures.

Today, DD is sick, DS is in school, and getting things done around the house, as well as putting things together for a meeting this afternoon. Busy day.

Sorry to hear that Shayla has been sick Patsy. Hope she is feeling much better today.

QOTD - April 10th

How much do you text?

Thank you Susan. DD is okay, now it is DS who is home from school today.

QOTD-
I text not daily, but every other day or so.

Oh man, when it rains, it pours.

I text about 250 - 300 per month. I text mostly passing on messages at work and talking to my kids.
