On Christmas morning what do you eat for breakfast? Do you have a tradition of eatting a certain type of food/meal?

We like to have the works - bacon, eggs, toast, maybe hash browns or pancakes.

not really, no one in our family really eats breakfast, plus we're not early risers so we just get up and open presents and watch Christmas movies!

Breakfast is THE meal at our house bright and early Christmas morning!
We have the works too-eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, biscuits, fruit and french toast! Everyone comes to our house-we'll have about 15 people over for breakfast.

Have you ever wanted to go to Alaska?

Yes - I would LOVE to go to Alaska! It sounds wonderful - I really think it would be absolutely beautiful!

I've actually been to Alaska--and it is simply the most beautiful place I have ever been! I went on a cruise (with my older brother & his family) in June, 2001. It was fantastic.

Yes! I would love to go. I'd like to drive up the Alaskan Highway but that is a long, long drive.

yes! my parents really want to go on a cruise there as well, i think it looks gorgeous!

If you were to cater from a restaurant in your area for a party you were going to have, what restaurant would it be from, and what type of food would it be for?

I would probably choose On The Border. I used them twice for a band banquet and the food was good, the kids enjoyed it also. It's Tex-Mex.

Chevys!! I could eat there everyday and not get tired of it. It's also Tex-Mex. I'd definitely have their salsa, crispy chicken flautas and their sweet corn tomalito. Its making me crave it just thinking about it haha!

Maybe you'll get to someday. The best place to get it is here in Texas.

DH picked up a red velvet cheesecake today. We don't have a Cheesecake Factory here, but they sell them at Costco. My favorite was this lemon one that they used to have, and in Vegas, I had gotten the tiramisu one which was yummy as well. So today's QOTD is-


Have you ever gone to the Cheesecake Factory, and tried their cheesecakes? If so which one is your most favorite?

Let me just say, the ones they sell at Costco do not compare to the ones at the restaurant/store.

My favorite from CF is the Godiva Chocolate and seasonally the Pumpkin Pecan....also the German Chocolate.

yes i have been there a few times, Im not big on cheesecake though, i only got a piece once - chocolate raspberry and it was just alright. not worth the price, but thats probably because i dont really like cheesecake, just figured I should get a piece since thats what theyre known for

Ditto! I have been to the Cheesecake factory, but after eating all the yummy dinner- I didn't have room for the dessert! Maybe next time I go, I will try a piece. I have had the one's from Sam's though- and I liked the pumpkin cheesecake and it was yummy!
