It will soon be a new month, so what new and fun things do you have planned for the upcoming month?

Hi Patsy,

Well, we are not so lucky like you with the awesome weather so we are happy to have warm and sunny days to go bike riding, go to the ball park, hiking etc. David and I love to go hiking just to take pictures.
We like to go swimming too.

:thumbsup2

This is going to be a busy May! My nieces are doing community theater (Pippin), so Dad & I will be going to see the show. My birthday is May 20th. Dana's First Communion is May 22nd, and we will also be celebrating Dad's 85th birthday that day!

At the moment, I have nothing fun and exciting planned for May. But you never know what might turn up.

I've got 2 birthdays 3 days apart (DH and DS6), and my mom's cataract surgery that falls on DS6's birthday, so we are going to celebrate it a couple of days before his BD. There is also a huge vintage car parts swapmeet out in Abbotsford that we are going to attend towards the end of May.

Do you ever receive surprise deliveries from a delivery guy/UPS/FED EX.....? If so, what type of goodies did you receive that were unexpected?

In May we are having a girls day out with the girls from work. We are going to London for a little shopping followed by afternoon tea at Harrods and going to see We Will Rock You in the West End in the evening. I have seen the show twice before but I really like it. A few of the girls have never seen a west end show before so it should be fun.

Unfortunately not unless it was extras put in an exchange.

Yes! About 2 weeks ago, I got an Ipod Nano from my sister! It was an early birthday/late Easter present--I was totally shocked, she had already paid for my ticket to Lion King.

A special friend surprised me two Mother's Day ago with sending me candies, and a balloon. It was so unexpected, and yet a very nice surprise.

On today's Oprah Winfrey show, they spoke about people Googling their names online, and coming up with a list of who else has the same first, and last name as themselves. Today's QOTD is-

*Have you ever done this before?
*Do you know people who has the same name as you?
*If you were to meet someone who had the same name as you, what three things would you ask them?

I have googled my name before, but have never come across someone with the same name as me.....my last name isn't very common.

I think the only question I'd have for someone with the same name as me is to ask if people mispronounce their last name as well. My maiden name was almost never pronounced correctly, but you get used to it. :)

Monica, I have never met anyone with the same name as me. My maiden name was easier to pronounce then my married name, and it bugs me. People are not able to say it correctly, so I just tell them how it looks like.

What is the speed limit on the roads, freeways....in your area? Do the cops pull over people who are driving too slow?

I decided to do this. First I googled my middle and last name. A bunch of people came up, doctors, lawyers, artist. What happened to me?

Then I googled my first and last name. Others came up, some without the "e" on the end.

So I decided to google my whole name. Zippo.

I have heard of a lot of people around town with my middle and maiden name.

I probably wouldn't ask them anything. Just say wow, we have the same name or that was my maiden name.

Our street is 30 mph. The farm roads around are 55 and 60 though some people drive them slower. It's getting really built up around here and they need to lower the speed limit but they haven't yet. I don't imagine that the police would pull anyone over at the moment. We still have farm equipment that drive down the road from one place to the other and they don't drive very fast. The interstate through town is 60. Now on that, I imagine someone would get pulled over for driving under 45.

Around town, the speed limit is generally between 45-55. I've not heard of anyone being pulled over where I live for driving too slowly. However, my MIL was pulled over in Denver for driving to slowly on the interstate. :rotfl:

Within in the city the speed limits are 50 to 60KMH (35 to 40mph). Hwy can range anywhere from 80KMH to 120KMH (50 to 80 mph) with the 120 KMH on the outskirts of town and travelling through the province.

If you were to go to a restaurant's drive thru to pick up breakfast, where would you choose, and what would you order?

All I would really want is a bagel with cream cheese and hot chocolate, but there aren't too many fast food places that have them.....Starbucks used to, which was nice since their hot chocolate is always a treat. I think Dunkin Donuts still has bagels, but I don't like their hot chocolate as much as Starbucks'.

My first option would be Tim Hortons for a coffee and a onion bagel with herb and garlic cheese. My second option would be Starbucks for a coffee and a scone.
