During Easter we usually get together with family, and friends and have a potluck lunch. Find me an idea -(pictures would be very helpful) of something simple, and cute to make. Something other then the typical coconut jellybean cupcake or bunny cakes.... Keep it sweet, and simple :).

I made these chrysanthemum cupcakes and they're really simple. I didn't put anything in the centers tho, just all marshmallows. Very easy to do and you can pick the color you want.

Those cupcakes are too cute, thank you :).

Just wanted to let everyone here know that my daughter will be doing a Flat Stanley project. It will start now and over the summer. If anyone is able to help out, please let me know.

Thank you :)

Thank you Lynne. I had actually changed the project, but had posted about it here, so if you are still able to help, could you let me know. If not, don't worry about it.

My kids, and I had made the cupcakes today, and they are cute! But oh soooo time consuming. If you have any other ideas like such, send them my way :).

Do you host alot of overnight visitors-friends, family, are you a host family..... at your house?

No we don't host, we have the rooms, but not the furniture.

Yes I do! But that is really only because I have 10 nieces and nephews. And, DFi's best friend loves his "room" at our house. I call it his crash pad and am open to him staying as long as he makes the bed lol. :lmao:

Have you ever found a golden egg? If so, what was in it?

My daughter, and I were talking about this, and they do not sell golden eggs here, so I was thinking that I might have to spray paint some.

Our families don't live close, so any time they visit they stay with us. Same with friends. We've been hosting Ukranian skaters the past 2 years while they're here giving a clinic/camp. That's a fun week.

What is your most favorite type of candy bar?
Right now I would say a Baby Ruth. Tomorrow might be a different answer. :rotfl:

If you were able to change on thing about yourself, not physically but maybe a way you do things, a way you act.... what would you change?
To bring back my desire to sew.

I am ready for Easter, and with putting together an Easter snack tomorrow, I was thinking about dying eggs.

Do you have any tips on a special way to dye Easter eggs?
None at all. We always just used the dye sets at the store.

When we were younger and also Joe's family members, we always had someone at our house. But as those families have gotten older and had children of their own, we don't see them as often and usually they choose to stay in a hotel. Or rather some of them do. They have their own lives and don't get up this way very often anymore. It's easier for us to go see them.

No.

Normally we don't have friends over for over night visits. However a good friend last month was moving to the land of Ont (Ontario), and we let him stay at our place for 4 days until he could catch his flight back east.

I've never found a golden egg, but perhaps you can find a plastic one, or spray paint a plastic egg used for hunts and put some treats in it for your kids.

I've always thought it was the egg you wanted to find when you were Easter egg hunting. It has the biggest prize inside.

Yes it is like the grand prize egg that has a big $$$$ bill in it or a special prize. At an egg hunt we had gone to yesterday, we had gotten a golden egg-(it just had candy in it), but we were able to bring that egg home, so I just need to find another one for my other child.

Patsy, did you check Walmart? That's where I got ours last year after Easter. So I got them super cheap! They are bigger too- it came with one gold and one silver. We are gonna put $5 in one for each kiddo. I never found the golden egg as a kid, but they had special marked ones at some of the egg hunts we went to & I won a game. I thought that was pretty cool! :goodvibes

Yes, and none there.

Do you have any food cravings?

Before, I was not into balsamic anything, but now I like the balsamic vinegarette that I have been eatting more salads yesterday, and today then maybe in a month.

I haven't had any lately. My biggest problem is wanting something but not knowing what that something is.

I always come up with the weirdest cravings based on the weather really. Lately it has been:

Watermelon with fruit dip
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Sushi
Ham and American Cheese Omelet
