Exchange w/Interval International

When you do an exchange, does it have to be for a whole week? Or can you exchange by day like you would with the Concierge Collection?

With Interval it's a whole week but with BVTC, it is not for an entire week and actually if it's for exactly 7 days, they require you to go through II. Many times you can exchange 5 days excluding weekends for 7 days at other resorts if you do so privately.

DVC now has a set number of points for an exchange. The point chart varies based on season and accommodation. I don't have it handy right now. Maybe someone else can post the numbers.

I was told they went to the fixed point system to make it simpler to exchange out of DVC and into II.

I would suggest posting at the DVC trade board. There are many II members that try to exchange to DVC but, find it impossible (myself included). You might be able to work out a trade for less DVC points than you would have normally been charged.

2-bedroom low 207, mid 252, high 270

the 1-bedroom is a better bargin than the old method

but definitely try the trade board first!!!
