Exchange TS for CS?

Is this possibe? I had lap band surgery and can eat very little at a time, so am concerned about ordering such a big meal. I can "pick" off my DH CS meals to save some of them, but not sure how to handle the TS meals. Can I go and sit with them while they eat or do I have to have all 4 of us order because of the package? Any info appreciated.......

i have read on these threads that not all of you have to order ts or cs credits, therefore saving some of your credits, there is some confusion though of swapping ts credits for cs, which i think if you could this would help you a lot, hope some others can help with the latter

I'm not sure about the ordering... I don't think they would force you to order something. But, it might be cheaper for you to NOT get the dining plan. Why pay $40/day for food that you won't eat?

My DH is a "good" eater, and I figure he will eat my CS meals and I will mostly have the snacks and pick off the others plates. I know they frown of that at the TS restaurants though. I guess It would be best to just try to order the 3 TS meals and save the credits. I hope that works as we are staying at the parks an extra day and can use the DPlan then too. Thanks!

Last year during free dining you were able to swap out TS credits for CS credits but that did not occur any other time of the year to my knowledge. They might allow it again this year during free dining, no one really knows. The reason it happened at all was because the TS locations were so full, most with no walk up availability...there were many people who bought a free dining package that were not able to get into a TS dining location due to the fact they did not make ADRs.

we used ts for cs without issue last year during free dining. Then we were able to "give" back credits and we got lanyards for the unused ones.
My family had leftovers in Feb (they bought the deluxe dining plan) and they tried to use some for a "gift" like lanyard and was told no, this time.

If you're on a bounceback or free dine promo, I'd just order and pick what you can eat. If not, I'd consider NOT getting the plan.
By the way, my sister had the same surgery and has lost 65 pounds, feels and looks WONDERFUL! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Why not order an appitizer and have it delivered with the meal and pay OOP for it? You could then use the saved TS credits and have another TS one day ie: lunch and dinner TS...... Or since you mention staying an extra day, you have TS left to cover those meals.

My mom had gastric bypass several years ago and dining out became a huge sticky wicket for her. She felt so akward sitting at a table with out a plate of food in front of her while everyone else was eating. Having an app served with the entrees helped a lot.

you can use a ts for a cs but not the other way around. you using your ts credit as a cs benefits them so why would they try to stop you?
