Exchange Rate

Keeping everything crossed for a little more increase just so my credit card rate hits 1.80 then I'm paying for stuff in $$$

Tavelex still $1.768 but since the £ gained about 2 cents on the money markets yesterday I expect the tourist rate to increase today. (I hope so, I need to buy soon!).

::yes:: M&S Up to 1.778 today, hopefully it'll keep on a'climbin!;)

Excellent News! I agree Audrey, let's hope it carries on rising. Like Sam, I think that as soon as the CC rates hits $1.80 (if it does) then I will pay off our Disney resort costs for this Easter before arriving.

Right I'm getting the credit card at the ready :)

LOL Sam! I think I had better get the card ready too, I just have to hope that Disney will let me pay my room charges this time  When I tried to pay when the exchange rate was really good in February the CM told me that I had no choice but to wait until I arrive to pay  however, others have told me differently.... :)

Richard. :)

Good news, I'm about to pay my DVC off so any improvement in the rate can only be a good thing!!!

:hyper:

Karen

LOL, Karen :teeth: We joined DVC in 2001 when the rate was probably the lowest of all the years we've been going to Florida!

Off to get my currency tomorrow for our trip next week! :hyper:

Travelex are offering £1.7811 today :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hope it keeps rising::yes::

Just picked up my notes and TCs from the Post Office - $1.775, commission free. :)

M&S at 1.792 right now - very tempting...

Dollar spot rate has dipped just a little this morning, so might go it now.

Paul

Thanks for pointing this out.

If the spot rate hasn't recovered in the next couple of hours, I think I will be doing the same. I can't keep putting it off hoping for better rates!

Daniel

No problem, I know as soon as I buy it will leap up :D BTW Just checked Travelex and they are matching the M&S price.

If you really want to watch the minute-by-minute moves a good site is Nostradamus - Click on the GBP/USD link at the side of the page.

Spot rate moving back up ahead of the US stock market opening....oh what to do!

Paul

Nostradamus could be a useful site, I have previously used www.dailyfx.com for up to date rates.

I also noticed that M&S and Travelex on-line rates always seem the same, but I can get these rates in store at M&S so don't have to pre-order.

However like you say I've never bought at the right time yet, so when I take the plunge I'll let know (it might then be worth you waiting a couple of days).

Daniel

Hi all:wave2: :grouphug:

Got our dollars today at M&S(1.792)::yes::

::yes:: yes Daniel you get same rate in store, but you need passport as proof of ID if using M&S card.

Luv Audrey:jumping1:
xxxxxxxxxx;)
