Excercise Really Does Help Stress!

First a little background. I spent the last year and a half persuing a teaching credential, and I'm done with school and am just waiting for the paperwork. I also am trying to find a job for next year. I'm not sure if you've all heard about California's budget crisis, but it's hit public schools pretty hard, so the search is not going well. So,lI've been sitting around the house today worrying about money and trying to find a job, and how I'm going to pay for my WDW trip next month. I finally just got sick of sitting and worrying so I grabbed my headphones and walked out the door. I walked for 45 min. and it felt great!!! The weather was very cooperative too, it's still pretty warm but there is a good cloud cover. I feel so much better than I did an hour ago I can hardly believe it.

Good for you ~ It is very hard to go exercise when you are feeling stressed but if you make that little effort you have proved that you reap the benefits.

Congratulations on "stress exercising" instead of stress eating! That is awesome!!!! If you could bottle that and sell it you'd have a sure fire way to pay for your trip!

Melissa, I'm so sorry that you have to worry through this part of the summer. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you! And sending the *~*~*~*pixie dust*~*~*~* as well.

You are right about the stress factor, though. I have 5 kids-3 of them teens, and 2 pre-teens (read: beginning hormones) My 2 boys (teens) have given me MAJOR stress this past year or two, and I am finally able to respond civilly, without screaming and yelling. That in itself is worth the time and effort that I have put forth for the past 6 months!

On another track. Do you know aboutTeachers.net ? It's a great resource, wonderful chatboards and email rings that are very helpful!
