Remember to use your car rental coupons - I got my rate for 10/25-30 down to $88.19 plus taxes! For that money I will take the shuttle!

WOW that's excellent for us for 2 weeks in Oct we were quoted $300 (with that rate and a coupon) for 2 full weeks in a full size. National is still higher - or was - and I'm so excited now!

ZOW! Thank you! I just booked a full-size car for $271.85/total! Awesome! You rock! whooo hooooo! THANK YOU!
:thanks: :cool1:

Thanks so much for that information!

I just checked, and the rates are even cheaper for AAA members. I think it's about an extra 10% off!

You can book this via Hertz. I got a full size for $101 plus taxes etc.

Just put SOUTH in the Rate Code on Hertz.com I used both my company contract and AAA and the price was the same either way!

I can't seem to get any of my coupons to work. Which ones have you found that work?

Also, I am Hertz Gold and was able to confirm that level of service using this rate.

I used the $15 off weekly or weekend rental coupon from BJs.
Reserve a mid size or full size class car at Hertz weekly or weekend rates.

I checked the AAA Texas rates using all the same information and my rate was DOUBLE the entertainment rate so I'm sticking with what I have for now. Thanks again!

I just got a great rate for a full size-

255.85 for 8/20 through 9/1 using BJ coupon.

Does anyone know if this will include an additional driver.
I don't belong to any of the Hertz clubs but will join.

Thanks for posting!

That's a great question! I know with AAA it does but am not sure on the BJ coupon or the code we used.

thank you very much for posting this ..... it will be a back up for us in sept and oct .... rate is great 83$ ( using Entertainment CDP and PC for 20$ off along with the SOUTH rate code ) for full size before taxes....we even were able to sign up for Hertz #1 Gold ( fee waived ) using a link from mousesavers.com

this rate seems to apply to full size only....is that right...

will still be checking National rates .....but the difference rigth now is over 70$

Thanks for the tip!

Has anyone had any problems at pick up when mixing coupons & codes with Hertz?

I plugged in the SOUTH rate, along with an Entertainment coupon for $20 more off, but the back of my Entertainment $20 coupon, states "cannot be used with any other code, discount", promotion etc...

Sounds pretty straight forward, but just wondering if anyone knows exactly how strict they are.

Thanks,
Mark

on the confirmation i have .....it accepted the entertainement CDP and PC .....the rate code seems to be something entirely different

it also says on the confirmation just under optional items heading....

Rates above are guaranteed

do not know how solid the guarantee is ...

:confused3 What about only a debit VISA ? I read that it can be refused based on credit, I called and they will not run your credit and tell you before, and the person on the phone indicated there could be a $100 depoist, online stated a $200 depoist, anyone used a debit card at Orlando ? I also got a great rate, $299 for 13 days, but am courious about this issue.

Thanks for the heads-up about Hertz!!!
I just made reservations for our October trip -- using the 'south' code along with the PC# & CDP# for $20.00 off from the Entertainment book. The "Estimated Grand Total" came to $118.20 for a full size for the week.
We are NOT flying on Southwest - will we be expected to show our airline info to get this rate when we go to get the car??? :confused3

Where's the Hertz rental office? Is it onsite or offsite? The price I am getting is better than National but not that much - $30 - with 3 kids, I'd rather have an in terminal pick up. It's so much easier.

Thanx.

Hertz is offsite. However, I have been using them for years and find thier shuttle to be fine. I have never waited more then a few minutes.

Got a good rate for 7 days, but with our flight times would need a few extra hours - being charged 1 extra day @ $36 more (or almost 1/3 of original amount!), brings total to almost $170...oh well, thanks for posting anyway.

care to share your dates and the codes you using to get a price at national which is only 30 more than the hertz offer here of 118.20

My Hertz quote was around $153, National was around $183 with Amex, 2 class upgrade coupon and Emerald Club number (if that matters). 9 days in mid September. Made ressie about 2 months ago.
