Hello. Does anyone have an excel sheet they can share that tracks point usage? I cannot figure out how to create one for multiple contracts/use years. TIA

I have a spreadsheet that I created a few years back to track our point usage, but we only had contracts with CCV at the time. When we purchased a new VDH contract, I discovered the easiest way to track everything was to create separate WDW and DL tabs. I then added a column in both tabs that is used to "transfer" points from one tab to the other whenever we use DL points to supplement a WDW trip, and vice versa.

I'll send you a DM. I may have to figure out how to share a copy but I have a google doc workbook that I like that helps me track and forecast trips forward a few years. I keep two copies for WDW and Disneyland tracking.

I would be interested in taking a look at that if you don't mind sharing it.

Is there a way to share Excel files here on the boards? I'm not claiming to have the greatest spreadsheet, but it helps me out and I'm happy to share it. It calculates points used, points planned, and even colors the cell if you're using too many (or at risk of losing) points. And like I said above, it has a column for transferring points from one resort to another.

More than one spreadsheet has been shared here via Google Docs. I don't know how to do it, I just remember seeing links!

Yikes, that looks so complicated, I almost hope I never have enough points to need it to keep track. lol
Easier than this -

But yes, I do have a bit more complex membership and such than most. I still find it useful to forecast forward trips and make sure I have enough points to make them happen. Already planning forward for family trip 2026.....

Here's mine, if you wanted a different idea. There's probably 1000s of members out there with their own version of a spreadsheet that works for them. But I think it's always helpful to find inspiration in the work of others.

I have a number of locked/protected fields (calculation fields, label fields, etc), so it works best when kept in Microsoft Excel - I think it loses the protection functionality if you upload it to Google Docs.

Mine is setup for only two home resorts (one at WDW, one at DL), and for a September use year.

If you're dealing with multiple Excel sheets and need a quick way to access and manage them.

You might find it helpful to try excel online. It’s a handy tool that lets you work on your spreadsheets from anywhere without needing to have Excel installed on your device. You can easily share and collaborate with others, which might be super useful if you need to coordinate with friends or family on your planning sheets. Plus, you don’t have to worry about saving, as it automatically saves your changes.

I kept one for the first 10 years or so of ownership. At some point, it just becomes extraneous...

No unfortunately not. Google docs yes excel no.
Edit when I clicked your google doc it went to excel. Nice!

I used the old fashion method…

A piece of paper and pen.
Worked perfectly.
It may be old fashion, but glad to see someone else using it besides me. Well, except that I don't use a paper and pen. I use a paper and pencil, to account for making mistakes. And using a pencil was a necessity for my students when I was a Math teacher.

I downloaded a template for a checking account and use it with points coming in/out/balance.

Never need to worry about a computer virus or the blue screen of death.
