excel address label help

finally getting around to putting names/address/phone numbers into my computer with an excel program (if this isn't the best one please let me know)
the reason why i also want to do this is for address lables with Christmas coming it will be easier to slap a label than write it.

I need to know the best way to set this up so I can export the data from the address book to the labels.

Is there also a tutorial some where to help me with this

You can import it into Word to create your labels.

Are you using Office 2007 or an earlier version?

we are using office 2007 but since I didn't start yet, would I be better off using word instead of excel as a base program???

I have all my addresses in MS Outlook and can print labels

Outlook is the easiest for me. It is possible to mail merge and print labels from Excel or Word, but that just seems like too much work.

My recommendation would be to use the address book that come with whatever email program you use.

Unless you're only using the information to print labels, I think it's easier to use Excel as your database. If you're using it as a computerized address book, I say use Excel. I'm a big Excel geek
