SILLY QUESTION...I just want a rough estimate of how long to get from the Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom? Exaxtly which transportation is taken from there to MK? My dh thinks we can walk right in, LOL~he's never been anywhere near WDW...I know better!

We've only driven (haven't taken any of the WDW transportation from WL to MK) and I'm pretty sure it took about 10 minutes.

No, I don't think your Dh would want to walk it ;) .

Is he thinking of the Contemporary? You could walk from there plus you have the benefit of being on the monorail line.

The boat trip from the Wilderness Lodge normally takes from 10-20 minutes depending on the route. Once you disembark at the MK, the gates are right right in front of you. :)

The boat is the easiest option. You don't have to deal with parking issues and tram transfers this way, which could add to your commute time. The boat launch is located at the rear of the resort on the banks of bay lake. At that point, once you get past the Contemporary, it's just a stone's throw to the MK. The boat drops you off right at the main gate.

I know in the a.m. going to MK from WL the boat goes directly there because it has already made it's stop at Ft. Wild. So it takes only about maybe 10 mins. Coming back from MK the boat will stop at Ft. Wild. first then onto WL. It is a very short stop. I don't even think your docked for 5 mins.

Try www.ourlaughingplace.com click on research the magic then resorts and the transportation wizard. They have everything resort to resort, park to park , parks to DTD etc you name it. They also give you the times using the various disney transport or car

We used the boat once, 7/8 and it was a nice pleasent ride. Great view of the Castle before docking.
One trip we went by the small boat, blue flag, to Contemporary and took the Mono. Long walk and up four flights to terminal. We stuck to the boat from then on.
