I was able to book 2 consecutive nights at BCV but would really like to have a third night. I've booked another resort so we do have a room for the evening, but I want to waitlist BCV.

Do I just go through the steps for trying to book the night at BCV and when it says unavailable choose to waitlist it?

If I do that and it becomes available, will the resort I currently have booked automatically cancel? And will the points be reallocated?

I want to be sure it's not going to pull more points from the next UY otherwise I'll have some points that won't be used and that will expire before I can use them.

Thanks!

When you try to book and a room is not available it will say underneath wait list for... And the amount of points. Click on that link. You will then be asked to select a reservation that you want canceled before the wait list is filled and you will be able to select how you want the points taken to fulfill the reservation. However, you should check availability on your own frequently if you really want the night at BCV. I have found that strategy to work better than just wait listing. If the night becomes available your wait list will not be filled right away. They only do wait lists a certain time a day so someone checking availability could snap it up before your wait list is filled.

We don't know 100% how MS administers the list or what the process is. I was told by management that the match is done after MS closes for the night and that CM's manually work the list the following day. That means that others checking several times per day can grab your dates before the CM does.

Others have been told other versions of the process.

All I know for sure is that others can steal your days and that after all these years we only had one match. We don't waitlist anymore.
