I'm sorry for confusing your friends "Marc" and "Mike", Elaine! Well, at least I remembered the first letter of the name correctly!
I agree with you - it's only Tuesday and this week is dragging - it feels like the long weekend will never get here. And I'm sure that it's even more difficult for you, since you know that your house is waiting for you at the end of the weekend! We will be doing similar things, this weekend - getting ready for Frank's move. I'm trying to do a few tiny projects around my house each night, to get it straightened up - I made lists of what needs to be thrown out, moved, or stored in each room. We only have about 6 weekends left until Frank moves, and we have plans to do some "wedding stuff" (ie: meet with musicians, florist, etc.) on some of those weekends, so I really need to stop being so lazy after work and get some things accomplished, then! And I just reminded Frank, yesterday, to do the things that you mentioned - notify the post office, bank, etc., before he moves!
If you have a chance, once you're moved and settled in, please scan in one or two of your wedding photos - it would be wonderful to see them!
And I agree with you about having whom ever we feel comfortable with in the wedding, and who we really want to participate. Gary is like a member of my family - he's the one person who's consistently "been there for me" throughout my life, ever since elementary school, since we've known eachother since kindergarten! We're very much alike and have the same feelings and philosophies about everything from religion and politics to music and hobbies, so we understand eachother very well. I'm lucky enough to still be close to my best girl friends from elementary school, high school, and college, as well, but Gary is even more family-like to me than they are, and that's why I really want him to be a part of our celebration. Unfortunately, my friendship with him suffered a bit during my first marriage - my "ex" couldn't stand Gary - I think he felt threatened that I had such a long standing relationship with another man. Also, Gary is gay (I hope that I didn't offend or bother you or anyone else out there by saying that!), and I think that that "freaked out" my "ex", in a way. My "ex" made it very uncomfortable and difficult for me to speak to Gary on the phone (bellowing like Fred Flintstone for me to get off the phone, etc.) and wasn't thrilled when I made plans for all of us to get together in person. But our friendship survived that, and Frank really likes Gary and understands his importance in my life. That's the main reason that Gary was questioning being my "Man of Honor" - I think that he was somehow afraid that if I got married again, we wouldn't be able to talk or see eachother comfortably or often any more. Anyway, I'm glad that he realizes that Frank wants him to be a part of his life, as well as mine, and decided to be in our wedding!
Thank you for your ride descriptions / advice! Sometimes, my imagination gets carried away and I envision things to be a lot "scarier" or more threatening than they really are! Well, I have 280 days to psyche myself up for trying some attractions which I've never tried before! I think that I could handle bumpy or jerky rides - it's just those huge drops and things which pop out and startle me which I'm wary of! I wish that we were all at WDW, right now! I think that we could all use a vacation!
Speaking of which.........here come Don, Kas, Bo, and Marv with our morning coffee and pastries! They also have copies of today's Orlando Sentinel for all of us, as well copies of the weekly guides to what's going on at the World, this week. Haven't been over to EPCOT in awhile......maybe today is the day to try Test Track!
Have a great day, Everyone!

But that is the official word on that. We get it Friday. Luis is still looking. He has had a few offers but nothing really worth taking (massive pay cuts for phone support, or icky 12 hour days rotating between days and nights) but a few more things might come his way soon. Our apartment is effectively rented. The guy's references checked out and now he just has to get his deposit it. He lives in VA so it will probably take longer and he made sure he could get the apartment Oct. 1st w/o a problem (which it isn't) so that looks tko be taken care of.
Seriously it would be easy to confuse the two and I am surprised you got it that close! And you know what's really funny... Marc is gay as well and his first question he asked me about being the Man of Honor was "Do I have to wear a dress?" He isn't a cross dresser but we joke about his being gay because he can honest to goodness be soooo stereotypically gay... and he is kind of proud of it. I love him to death and I wouldn't change him for the world

When we were there in Oct., the parks closed at 6 or 7 pm (well MK that is) and they had the EWP every single night... it was a very nice thing to be able to see right outside my patio window. I am sure you passed your test with flying colors. In the mean time the massages are excellent here
but compared with how much Luis and I spent for our honeymoon that looks like a good deal
I made a really cool spreadsheet that soon I will make it so that we could get a good idea of cost of a trip like that (with a bunch of different rooms listed) might cost... I just haven't gotten around to seeing if that is possible yet.
I will put it on my thingie when I get a chance.
So now I don't know where we will stay when we go back. The convenience of the monorail and everything else was just so worth it to us... I don't know what we'll do. The trip that we went on in '99 was at Coronado Springs (an excellent resort) and before then we always stayed at reasonably priced placed... and I got so used to taking the bus everywhere so now I am way too spoiled. Well we don't go that often (and I really had to talk Luis into going for our honeymoon since we had just gone with my family the year before) so maybe we'll keep staying at the Poly (yes wishful thinking) and if we do, anyone here is invited to join us in our room to watch the EWP. Well I won't have to worry about this for a while as we have bigger things to deal with in the mean time.
