Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Here I am taking a break from work. I don't mind too much. My supervisor is out on vacation for a while so life is good
I played hookie on Friday so that I could spend a little time with DH and give him some moral support so I get to spend today catching up
Luis is now working hard to get the house clean for our move into our home and we are very optimistic for his job search. If he makes $10.50/hr we are fine... and around here a temp usually can make that kind of money easily. So like I said we aren't worried (at least for the most part... I will admit it does creep in once in a while). I hope for more for his sake as well as mine (when he makes enough, I quit working... yippee), but as you can see we aren't destitute at all. We do have one bill that is going away soon so at that point he could make minimum wage just to help out
Yes, Slightly Goofy, he thinks what you sent him should be able to help. So I do appreciate that soooo much. It is amazing what our friends are able to come up with to help us. So enough about the unpleasantries of life.
I have to stay away from the sun for a while. I got a little pink from Saturday at the fair. So I will have to sit in the shade and enjoy my wonderful lemonade while I read that book some more. I think you guys are right. The ones who read it aren't the ones who necessarily need it. I am all for improving myself and this is helping me little by little. One neat thought it brought up is something I used to believe couldn't happen. You can't change a person. Now I believe that you shouldn't try to change someone for your own good or that you shouldn't expect the changes, but I realized after thinking about my life that my DH has changed me. Subltly yes, but I have changed. We have grown closer towards the other in how we act and feel... and this seems to be a good part of the book as well.
Well I have rambled enough... so I had better call over one of our men to get me some more cookies
Thank goodness I can't gain an ounce by eating them here
I hope you all are having a great day.
