Day 2.
Up at 7am with Evie, let her have a play for an hour and a bath. Then its out at 8.30am and on our way to MK. We had a slow drive over in the car, with evie napping in the back. Then it was through the famous sign. Dont you love going under that sign! It always gives me goose bumps!
And over to the Magic Kingdom.
We parked in Minnie, then onto the tram, which is easier said than done with a pushchair and lots of baby stuff! It takes us a good 15 minutes once off to sort out the pushchair with the sun umbrella, fan etc! We go over on the ferry which is tradition for us on our first MK day. I always get slightly teary the closer we get to the castle.
Once through bag check and tickets we grab a photo pass and get some photos done. We have the traditional photos done in front of the castle and with goofy.
We wandered through Fantasy land and round to IASW , where Evie went on her first ride. It was so sweet watching her looking at everything. She was wide eyed all the way round.
It was time for Evies lunch, so we went round to the baby care centre which is next to Crystal Palace. They have really lovely staff there. There is a kitchen with microwave, kettle, washing up facilities and products to buy if youve forgotten anything. There is a lovely big changing room, feeding room with high chairs and a nursing room. It was very pleasant (and cool!). Evie was a little hot and bothered, so she cooled down here. Evie was a bit tetchy in the heat today, but was fine the rest of the week. After her lunch we went to Columbia Harbour House for our lunch. I had chicken and fish strips and Simon had chicken strips (his favourite at WDW!!) We shared a Pink Lemonade.
Evie was napping at this point so we had a wander. Simon found a pin shop and bought a pin and a picture frame where you can put pins on it. Evie woke up whilst we were waling round, so we headed round to go on Buzz Light Year, which she loved and Transit authority, which we went round 3 times. Here is Evie chilling out - her push chair fan created much interest to my amusement!
We needed to cool down so I had a coke float and si had an ice cream sundae with caramel, the round the Transit Authority again! Evie fell asleep after this so we did another circuit round the park and went on Jungle cruise when we got round. I love this ride, think its hilarious, but Sis not keen on it.
Back to the baby centre for Evies next feed. Si went for a wander round the shops. I chatted to a lady who had a five month old as well for half an hour. It seemed so surreal being in MK, chatting to other mums! We were shattered at this point (around 3.30) so heaed out the park. Took the monorail back this time.
We chilled in front of the telly for a couple of hours, watching that 70s show and the simpsons. Mum and Dad came back from their day at MGM around 6pm and we all went out to The Sizzler for Dinner. I love the American salad bars! I never have salad, always end up with weird combinations such as pasta and tacos! I had a 8os staek and simon had Prime rib. We had a lovely evening awith mum and dad. Evie was exhausted and slept right through dinner. We discussed the next day. Mum and dad were off to sea World and we were going to chill by the pool (mmmm, well see!!).
A great day!
