Everything you need to know about WDW Christmas- Tips & Secrets

If you check in by the 17th, you can get it for length of d=stay. I believe it is up to 14 days. For us we are getting FD because we will check in on 12/17 and we will get it for each night until we check out on the 27th.

hi all...getting excited as planning to go Dec 24 - Dec 30 (friend's a teacher) and am hearing about how busy it will be. I've read how it's possible for some of the parks to close before noon...but does that mean they close for the rest of the day? Was hoping to go in early, leave for a nap, then come back... possible?

Thanks!

Disney @ Christmas time is the best time to go. I have been there at other parts of the year & it def not the same. I reccomend going the second week of December, not only is it LESS crowded, the decorations are up all over the park & it is utterly breathtaking. Yay for Disney :D

Thank you for all your great tips. My family is going dec 6-12th and i can't wait. I will definately put all these tips to use. I have one question...i read somewhere (at one time, lord know what site it was on) that you can order a small x-mas tree to put in your room and then have it sent home. Does anyone know where i can order this from and is it really expensive. Thanks for any advice!

Possibly. There is simply no guarantee you will get back in.Particularly at the MK.Most parks that close , can re-open and close throughout the day. There is simply NO way to predict how it will be .If it is important for you to be in a certain park for dining or whatever, you need to get there for rope drop and stay there.Otherwise you may get in, you may not

Disneyflorist sells them.BUT they are very expensive.I think almost $400 for a 3 ft tree and glass ornaments.I found we either bring a small table top from home, stop at walmart en route, or ship a small tree down to the resort ourselves before arrival

I remember reading somewhere about the choirs and Christmas events at the various resorts in December. We went early December last year and we could not enjoy them

This year, we are going from the 12 to 17th. Does anyone know if this schedule has been released for this year and which resorts host the events? We love visiting the Resorts and it would be wonderful if we could enjoy the extra events as well.

I am getting so much great info from this thread! We aren't going until Dec 2010 but I can't stand how excited I am for this trip :goodvibes

This will be our first trip staying as DVC members. Which DVC resort would you recommend for the most Christmas-y atmosphere? BLT is our home resort but I'm not sure how festive the decorations will be there. I'm thinking maybe a split stay between BLT and another DVC resort. Any suggestions :confused3

Didn't read all the way through...but did just want to make a correction for the dates of the Osborne Lights (saw someone mention that they won't be up until the end of November)...looked on the disneyworld.disney.go.com site and it's listed as the start date of November 10th through January 4, 2010. With ONE exception...it will NOT be featured on November 22nd. Didn't know if anyone corrected the dates...so sorry if this is a repeat! :)

We are going mid-November, but happy to be able to see at least some of the holiday magic!

Going for the 2nd time during Dec. This time staying from 12/13 till 12/31.

We have tickets booked for MVMCP on the 15th but aren't using our park admission for the first time until the 17th.

Sorry if this has been answered already but, in this case, where do we pick up our tickets for MVMCP? At the TTC?

TIA!

P.S. How early can we get into MK?

Can't answer the first question exactly, but I believe there is a line at Magic Kingdom for "Will Call" and that is where you pick them up. *PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG*

But for the 2nd part - you can get in to MK at 4P for the Party :thumbsup2

They mailed our MVMCP tickets to us the week after we booked and paid for them. They are sitting in my fire-proof lock box. :)

Any opinions on whether a Tuesday or a Thursday will be less busy? I'm thinking of Dec 1 or 3.

Thanks!

But you have to pay to have them mailed, right? We are picking ours up at will call. I don't want to chance forgetting them at home!

We opted for Thursday the 10th as opposed to Tuesday the 8th. Our reasoning - Thursday is our last full day, let's go out with a bang! Friday we have to catch the ME at 4P :sad2:

Also, I just have to ask - is it driving you nuts seeing your old countdown at 16?

Thanks! Don't have any important place to be, just no park hopper so if can't get back in, guess it's visit the resorts time.

We're in the UK so we were told to pick them up at will-call or guest relations, but we don't know where that is. :confused3

Hi Sarah!! Will-call is usually where the ticket booth window is when you enter each park. At MK, I think the guest relations is to your left inside the Ctiy Hall building. Will-call may be in there also if it's not at that ticket window!!
