Everything You Need To Know About Discount Codes

I called and there was nothing attached to my name but the cast member incouraged me to check back and said they only had the "broad offers" from the beginning of October. It sure would be nice if we could get a free upgrade or even free dining for that matter. We are going the week of November 16th and our DCL cruise is November 19th. Wish us luck!

Thanks for the information. But there is difference of opinion between some members kindly refer to it.

Maybe this is already in here, but my eyes cant seem to find it. If I have a discount code , not pin offer, can I use it online or do I have to call disney and tell them I have this code. I am just looking to book a room only for a few days

Ok, so I'm answering this way too late to help BsBrady.. but hopefully someone else can benefit.

Generally speaking, you have to call or use a travel agent to use a Discount Code -- sometimes the offer is visibly linked on the Walt Disney World website.. but not always.

Do they ever offer discount or pin codes for Fort Wilderness? We have gone every year for the last 20 years and have never received a code. When I asked about it they said they are given out at random. They use to offer snowbird rates for 30 days several years ago, but when they did away with that they never offered anything else. Does anyone know of any?

I am about to book an October trip package including tickets and DDP. If I do it now and free dining becomes available, can I take advantage of it? If so, how? I apologize if this is a repeat question, I keep finding different answers on different websites. Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, you can apply free dining to your package when it becomes available. The only issue is that there has to be availability at your resort for the dates you want (although you are free to change the resort and dates), because there are a limited number of packages available at each resort. You would just need to call and ask if the free dining promo can be added to your package.

I am a CAA/AAA member. Can I book a room only with CAA discount through a CAA travel agent and also have them apply a PIN code I just received? I don't want to waste their time if I cannot do this.

Isn't there a URL you can check to see if a PIN is attached to your email ?

I was super happy to hear that when I called to make a trip to disney I had a free dining plan code attached to my name. I upgraded from the quick service plan to the one with a sit down, quick service and snack for only 10.00 per day. I was super thrilled to save 32.00 per day per person on that.
Never know that they could attach a code to my name!

You can apply any discount to your existing package, if there are rooms available at your current resort. If not, then you may have to switch resorts to apply it. You have to decide what works for you.

Discounts, like free dining, are done to fill rooms. If the resort you are currently booked at is filled for that time period, then they won't offer it to you.

Last year, by a fluke, 4/3 deal was extended to my week; the week after Thanksgiving. POR is a very popular resort, so it was already full and they could offer me the discount there. I had a couple of choices, and ended up upgrading to a deluxe.

Yes they can. I use CAA and had the free dining pin added to my reservation. It helps if you have a knowledgeble CAA travel agent.

I just booked a ten day stay in october, my dates are 10/6-10/16. I received a pin for 20% off value reservations, so i booked at pop. my pin details state good for stays 7/5-10/7, and 10/11-11/23 so the 8th 9th and 10th are blacked out, this part i understand, the cm i spoke with said i could only get the discount for the first 2 days of our stay and would not get the rest of the stay at any discount!?!?!? So I have 7 nights eligible for the discount but only get 2 of them? The cm says i would have to book two stays to get the discount for all of the eligible days. The last vacation I booked had these blackout dates on the beginning of my ten day trip but I got the last 8 days of that trip discounted, has disney changed that since 08? Thanks in advance for any help

Call again - ask for a supervisor. Something is wonky here.

Seriously .. ask for a supervisor.

I have a similar question. I have a 20/30/40 year long discount. I wanted to vacation from Oct. 9-16. Well, the 9th and 10th are blacked out.

At first the CM said, "well, that will be like $500 more dollars(i was booked CR mk view, hence the high extra price). Then she said, "well, actually, you cannot even do that". Hmm, guess she was confused.

Anyway, I just went ahead and said "fine, book me starting on the 11th then". Is this the only choice I have? Considering my kids would miss a day of school/soccer, I am willing to pay extra for those first two nights, but obviously I don't want to make two different ressies and pay the extra costs incurred by that(assuming it would be like a split stay as far as having to pay more for tickets).

I was wondering if there is a code for that one? I saw that it was for the general public but the information did not include a code :confused3

This is undoubtedly a strange question particularly because I don't have a pin code (yet, I keep hoping :worship:), but I'm currently volunteering outside the US and will be until our Disney trip. I don't have an address and there is no mail in Ganta, Liberia. I have, however, kept my old New Orleans address on my Disney account. If I were to get a pin, would I have a problem using it because I don't technically live at that address right now? I don't suppose my mom could even use it because it would be a lot easier for her to call? I'm just trying to figure out what the rules are

We booked our vacation over the phone. We initially wanted the FW Cabins only because there are 6 of us traveling and food costs add up, so we really liked the idea of having a kitchen.
At some point, my husband tells me "ask if there are any codes associated with our names" and I find out... yes, yes there is. The pin code was sent to our old address and, well we haven't lived there for a year. So, a quick change of address in their database and voila!
We have free dinning and changed our minds and got 2 rooms at POP instead.
I think that the pin is assigned to you, not your address, considering only you can use it.

Hope this helps!
