Am I imagining things are did I read/hear that Peppermill at Coronado is NOT available on the present vouchers? Wea re staying at CSR in April and think they might be a good deal at the Peppermill.

Thanks!

I just wanted to add my two cents about using the Q&C Meal Vouchers.

We spent nine days @ WDW last December and used several vouchers that I purchased on Ebay. I had not discovered this wonderful website yet and didn't realize there were several places to buy the vouchers MUCH lower than the price I paid.

I didn't do any legwork prior to our trip as far as researching menus/prices before we left. Imagine my shock and dismay to find that most of the counter service restaurants listed on the vouchers had entrees that cost less than what I paid for the vouchers! Most of our vacation turned into me going from restaurant to restaurant trying to find the one that would give me the biggest bang for the buck. This got to be pretty tiring (especially at the World Showcase...have you ever walked around the "world" in search of food?)!

Bottomline - the vouchers could have been great had I purchased them direct from the vendor and used some internet resources to find which restaurants in each of the theme parks had the best selections to fully benefit from the vouchers.

To make a long story short, don't be afraid to buy the vouchers, just make sure you do your homework.

On my vouchers Peppermill is listed. Peppermill is one of the places where the voucher is worth the money. I wonder if it will be on the next set of vouchers after these are expired..

I agree with the above poster. You really do need to do homework to see where your vouchers will get you the most bang for your buck. If you search on www.allearsnet.com and research the various menus you will see that most of the places offered are just not worth the hassle of the vouchers.

Since Fresh, at the Dolphin, was opened after the coupons were printed, I wondered if anyone knew if the Breakfast coupons could be used at Fresh's breakfast buffet? Or, does anyone have a source I can call to find out? Thanks!!!

DisneyaHolic23, I do not believe that the restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin are included in the WDW voucher locations.

Does anyone know of any site to sell unused vouchers? I'm not interested in selling at an auction or making a profit.

The current ones expire May 31, 2004. I don't know when the new ones come out.

We're only going to be in DW for 3 days...the land part of Land/Sea...I realize I need to plan which park for which day, and vague ideas of where we'll be eating, but if you were guessing, would you say, oh, one sitdown meal, 1 counter-service per day, for 2 adults and 2 preteens would come out to 2 big vouchers and 4 q&E vouchers, and they could order some extra kids meals and whatnot to make up the difference?

ACK! Can you tell I'm lazy? I just want to ballpark it, without having to bring some back.

Just a note to say thank-you to everyone that has posted on this thread. Like the title says, it really is "everything you wanted to know about Connections Meals..."

We are leaving for WDW in May, and will be using vouchers thanks to all of you hard work.

THANK YOU, THANKYOU, THANK YOU

Do all the members of your party have to use meal vouchures?

For instance suppose I use a VKL at Rain Forest Cafe, can one of order the app, drink, entree and dessert and the other one just order a salad and a drink? Will the waitperson attribute the more expensive or least exensive meal to the vouchure. Do I then just pay tax and tip on the items not included in the vouchure?

Thanks

No, you don't have to have one for everyone in your party, you can use them for one person and not the other. Also I think they will put the more expensive items on the voucher because it includes a tip based on what you would have paid (does that make sense) but you might want to ask your server ahead of time. I have read lots of reports of servers trying to help people get the best deal possible.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the prices of the meal vouchers seem to have gone up (along with the park hopper plus passes) at Simple Escapes and Hotwire Savings Club. This has just happened in the past week.

The Quick and Casual are now $11.50
The Vacation Kingdom Lunch are now $31 for adult & $12.75 child
The Breakfast ones are now $18.25 for adult & $11.00 for child

The Park Hopper Plus passes seem to have gone up about $10 per ticket also.

Hope this helps! I ordered some on Friday at one price and went back last night to order and found new prices. This was at Simple Escapes. I then went to Hotwire to find the same prices.

just back from our trip to Disney and I am unpacking and found a Q&C voucher that we didn't use. It expires May 2004...if anyone is interested in buying it, please send me a PM. I paid 14.00 for it from Ebay. We bought six of them and really enjoyed using them but we live in San diego and won't be able to use it by May.

Thanks all! have a great trip! we sure did:)

Thanks for the information. I wonder if that means the prices at the restaurants have gone or are going up?? hope not!

I have ordered Q and C vouchers several times over the past few months for our trip next week. No problems- they came right away. Then in mid-December I ordered 2 adult and 1 child breakfast vouchers for PSB. Well, they never came. I thought that since the sale was under $50, it would take longer to come.

Well after 3 tense phone conversations, I finally had them in hand today.

After the first phone call, they said someone would get back to me in 2 days. Well 2 WEEKS later, I had to call again. They promised they would be shipped airborn express in 2 days. Well another week goes by and they are still not here. So I called again yesterday AM and got the whole run around again- they must have a policy that they can never take responsibility for their screw ups.

Well they did arrive today- 24 hours after I spoke with them the 3rd time.

Just becareful and watch your CC statements and the amount of time it takes for the vouchers to arrive.

just wanted to say we got more than our savings worth =$10+ at le celllier and brown derby per vkl and $30+ at RFC per vkl and from$5-11 savings per Q/c. we mostly used the q/c at resorts since we ate there usually for dinner ( larger meal at lunch) but had no problems using them anywhere and never had to go out of the way to say money with them.... great experiences except the breakfast vouchers at Boma...a real smarty for a waiter, snide comments about using "food stamps", basically ignored us for the whole meal while royally kissing butt at the other 3 tables he had right by us, wouldn't even think of using them for the press pot, just a smarmy guy in general but I figured he got his due when the large family sitting beside us( he had waited on them hand and foot while he was ignoring us) started arguing about not leaving him 15 % for a tip since "that was too much" . my husband gave him 20%( we added at least an extra 5% or usually just left $5 more per voucher since they only get 15%,) I wouldn't have given him anymore than what the voucher gave him since imo he didn't even deserve that.

one more thought.. I think most do not tip more than 15 % with the vouchers as the waiters were all shocked when we gave them the extra tips...maybe if more people did that , they would have nicer service since I wondered if that was why Boma guy acted the way he did.( he did seem kind of embarrassed when husband gave him the extra 5%, like maybe he realized he had been a jerk to us and shouldn't have been.) also the 10% service charge at pepper market does not all go to the server btw. so you might want to take that into account when tipping there

so all in all I will definitly buy more vkl and q/c vouchers next time but skip the breakfast ones.

Hi jann! Sorry to hear about your server at Boma. We had a lousy server there at dinner, but we weren't using vouchers. She was just a lousy server...;)

Did you use any of your Q&Cs at PC? If so, did yours say PC on the back? I got six more from my sis (newer ones) that do say PC, but I'm still wondering about the other 40. :D

From which company is the better one to use for ordering meal vouchers. Also need to know the current expiration date on the vouchers.

Thank you,
MM
