You sound like such a good sport! Glad you got your vouchers in a timely fashion. I'm thinking of buying some of the QC's. We've used them before and I just loved the knowledge that they were with us and pre-paid. I hate to try to budget "how much will dining cost".

Do you have to order a set number of these vouchers, or can you just order what you think you will need for a particular trip?

Thanks,
Judy

you can order however many you need up to around 40( I think, never ordered that many) of each

Am really interested in what people have been able to order with a child's VKL voucher - Obviously a 3 year old is not going to eat all that food but if he could share his voucher with Mom and then we use 2 more for Dad and the grandparents it would be a great thing. We are planning on RFC and would consider one of the Epcot or MGM restaurants if if would work this way. Any comments greatly appreciated.

i know many have posted they could not get an appe. with the kid's voucher due to them not being available on most kid's menus..it is up to the discretion of the manager of the particular rest. how they handle it but many seemed to take the "too bad for you" approach. plus the facts you have to strictly order off the kid's menu ( lots of mac and cheese and pb&j) plus the meals are smaller, the kid's voucher wasn't really worth it many seem to feel. for 4 adults at rfc 2 adult vouchers would be plenty imo especially if you belong to safari club and get the free appe as well( we had to buy an additional soft drink to get the free appe along with our voucher) as we could not finish the food we got there ( 2 adults, 1voucher plus the free safari club appe)

one place we used a kid's voucher ( akv) even though we were 2 adults:o was pizzafari. only problem was the drink was a kid's size and no refills ( which was tiny) but the pizza was plenty large enough to share along with the dessert pizza we bought seperately

Is the only place you can order VKL's on Hotwire? So far Ihaven't found any reference to another medium to purchase these. Thanks.

through out this enormous thread other places have been listed like lillian vernon( do not think they still offer it) connections ( lots have had trouble with them) and a florida ticket place that jacks the prices way up, same with ebay. i think hot wire seems to have the fewest problems. if you can't find them you can check out all ears( lost the newer addy when my computer crashes so maybe someone can post it) or www.mousesavers.com

skimped through but couldn't find this...has anyone used them at saratoga springs? do not believe it is listed on the new vouchers but then pop was listed either before ( 04) and they took them.

Here's some of the links I have for vouchers. They all are MWI/Connections (also Hotwire savings) but operate under different program names. The cost and trial membership costs are ALL difference so check them out closely. As always "buyer beware"!

Connections go to FAQ

dealpass/ simple escapes- Last year they carried vouchers I can't be sure if they still do because I don't have access to them anymore

Simple Escapes FAQ - same as above

The only place we found to be a value for the childrens voucher was at Rainforest Cafe. My DD was able to order off the adult menu and split her meal with me. She had the cha cha chimy appt 8.69, Primal steak and lobster 39.99, drink 2.50, and we also had one adult voucher for DS14 and DH so we got the volcano for desert 14.99 (half of this would be 7.49) so total w/o tax or tip was 58.67 and if I remember right the voucher was around 15.00.

Do they actually let you order off the adult menu for kids voucher at RFC? I thought they had a kids menu. I know I have heard others say this as well so I am wondering if these cases are an exception or the Norm?

When we went last month, I asked our server to explain what we could order with the adult and child VKL vouchers. She wasn't sure about the child voucher so she went and asked her manager and she told us it was exactly like the adult voucher. I suppose there's no guarantee, but at least it seems like the norm for now.

i hate to add to such a loooooooooooooong thread :teeth: , but i need opinions:
we're eaten just about everywhere on property EXCEPT world showcase.
i'm going to cancel my dealpass very soon, but would like to order some VKL vouchers first (already bought Q&C's).
which world showcase restaurant would you chose? (btw, did japan ~ weren't thrilled with food, tho :( ).

france? italy? canada? it'll be DH & self, 20yo DD, & 16yo DS. DH & DD aren't big steak eaters, & we'll prob just get an appetizer for DS (he eats very little, and might just have a glass of milk  ).
i've looked at the menus ~ now i'm just looking for personal opinions: best food, variety, and value for the the VKL's.
thanks!!

we used the voucher at LeCelliar and did order steak ( salmon patty appe also excellent, not normal patties ( which i dislike and almost kept me from trying these. ) and choc. bread pudding. the food has some "gourmet"qualities about it ( like the tarragon ice cream with the pudding) but it was all verrry good, bordering on exceptional. however a picky eater might be put off by some of the more "unusual" ingrdients. we got a great value ( think close to double but don't have my book in front of me)

I finally decided to get the meal vouchers, after thinking about for a long time. My question is I never received a e-mail confirmation after the order, Should I have or not. This is the first time I ever ordered them. Thanks for all your help:D

I didn't receive an email confirmation either after i placed my order for vouchers, but they come very quickly in my case less then a week,so I wouldn't worry about it.Hope this helps

hotwire does not send email confirmations of anything, includng cancelation unless you request it ( good to know in case you cancel.) if you do cancel, check you bank statement and make sure they cancelled it. my daughter didn't and 7 months later realized they were still charging her( imo she should look at her statement a little more often but that's another story:eek:  ) when she called they took 2 months of charges off but I guess figured she should have checked before too:rolleyes: !
