We are a family of 6 and soem very fussy eaters. I have been looking around the net and checking menus etc for use with DDP. Have found some that will suit but most things seems to have cheese or a sauce with cheese. This is going to be a real problem.

I know in CS we can get burgers etc and ask to have no cheese (have doen this before) but we have never really eaten at and TS in Disney before and want to know if it is a problem asking for cheese to be left off .

Eg: Barbecued Chicken Breast Sandwich - topped with smoked gouda cheese, crispy onion straws on a kaiser roll, with fries

We would be happy taking this without the cheese. I guess all meals in TS are cooked to order so hope this can be done.

Thanks

We have lots of allergies and WDW is the best place to deal with this! We only eat TS (except we tried CS while on DP in July and this doesn't allow for much changing of meals at all as stuff is premade). You will get a chef come to your table (but please tell the Dining Dept. when making ressies that you have allergies, as it makes it easier) and discuss menu options. Many things can be prepare without cheese, although there are some dishes that are premade. Buffets may be a problem with certain dishes, so the chefs can whip you up something in the back, such as steamed rice, veggies, etc. Eating TS is best when dealing with allergies, that's for sure!

Disney chefs are great and know exactly what ingredient is in every dish they make as they take this very seriously.

Have a wonderful vacation. Happy eating, Tiger :)

You can definitely ask for whatever you don't want your meal. My husband is an adventurous eater but there are things that he cannot and will not eat certain things. Tomatoes and cucumbers have to be removed from his salad, his burgers come with just meat and cheese, none of the lettuce, tomatoes, onion. He'll even ask for a subsitution for the veggies with rice. There's never a meal where he doesn't request something special. Disney is very accommodating.

I have dairy intolerance so much so that it can easily ruin an entire day at the parks. We eat nothing but ts meals and I have always found the chefs to be incredible. I am otherwise not a picky eater and will and have tried just about everything. There always seems to be an option or two and the chefs have delighted in coming up with choices.

Do not worry about this one minute more. They will be happy to fix it just how you like it!

You want the chicken sandwich plain .. just ask. Trust me, they want you to be pleased with your food.

Even the counter service places will make your food as you want it. I am a NO MAYO WHATSOEVER kinda gal and its never been a problem. I have also requested burgers with no cheese, no problem. They live to serve at WDW, you'll be fine.

just ask for no cheese. DH does it all the time. We're not big cheese eaters and consequently order no cheese on many things. We've even gone to places where they'll happily sub the cheesy potatoes with something else.

I've never had a problem asking for no cheese or no sauce or no whatevers anywhere we eat, and that includes non-Disney places.

does anybody know if they have potatoes other than the parmesan ones at chef mickeys? I'm another person who doesn't get the whole "lets add cheese to it" attitude. I know, I know, most people love it. I'm just not a huge cheese eater.

the potatoes at CM are just the cheesy ones. DH usually just skips this, although I didn't think it was that cheesy.

My DS has life-threatening allergies to dairy. Has never once had a problem at CS getting no cheese. At buffets, we always phone ahead asking for a plain baked potato to be ready, since he can't do any of the potato/starch dishes (cheese or butter in them). Only one time at Crystal Palace did they drop the ball.

If you don't phone ahead at a buffet, they'll accomodate you, but you'll have to wait while they cook it and you'd probably get rice rather than potato unless they saute it with olive oil.

TS is completely not a problem....except be aware of WS restaurants not operated by Disney in Epcot. Even after all the pre and on the spot warnings about dire food allergies, he got food with cheese on it in both San Angel and Chefs de France. The lighting was very dim, and if we weren't in the habit of scrutinizing everything we might have had a tragedy on our hands.

One of my best friends hates cheese and asks for it to be left off at Disney restaurants with no problems.

I'm a really picky eater. I don't like cheese (except a grilled american cheese every once in awhile). I had the potatoes at CM...they were really good and didn't taste cheesy. They were the only potatoes I saw there.
