Everything Paid - now last few weeks to plan!

Well I paid off the balance of my park tickets today (the main holiday was paid months ago). So it is that exciting time when the holiday becomes a reality!

We are staying at Emerald Island resort (our previous trips have always been on-site with DDP) however, we are travelling in a larger party this year with friends so opted for a villa.

I know we can obviously stock up on groceries and eat at the villa but I wanted to know some info on good places to eat - also a lot of people have mentioned about vouchers and coupons - any advice on where to get these would be great.

Anyone able to help with some ideas.

Coupons - you can pick up coupon books there - tend to be in the entrance to restaurants etc.

Best coupons are for email sign up. Basically you join each restaurant email club and they send you coupons. They expire quickly so best done just before you go. if anyone has a birthday or anniversary whilst away put that for extra coupons.

Offsite we tend to eat in mid priced chains.

Longhorn
Carrabas
Cheesecake factory
Olive garden
Mannys chop house
Bahama breeze

We also like a few cheaper options like friendly's, flippers pizza (local pizza chain), steak and shake.

Breakfast wise - cracker barrell, perkins, ihop, frriendly's, village inn, dennys

I had a trial email sign up to see what is doing coupon wise at the moment - got the following just for email sign up.

Perkins - 1 free meal
Ihop - 1 free rooty tooty breakfast
Mimis cafe - free breakfast
Dennys 20% off

Longhorn/carrabas - free appetiser

All expiring within 7 or 14 days

I also use google maps to look where we are staying and nearby restaurants.

Also have a look on restaurant.com - with a code you can pay $3 for a $25 off certificate. Got one for House of blues and giodanos pizza.

I've also got a kids eat free card - was given to me. TBH alot of the places that take the card are not my cup of tea but we will probably use it at rainforest cafe (DD wants to go)

orlandocoupons.com has a few dining coupons - may use the free margarita at margaritaville!

Allmenus.com lists restaurant menus with prices

Also if you put your zip code in on the restaurant website you have a better chance of the menu showing actual prices. It irritates me when no prices are shown.

Mid priced chains mentioned above probably $15 for an entree.
