Everything Old Is New Again! - A Dec 2010 Trip Report : THE FINAL ENTRY page 45

:rotfl2::rotfl2: It looks like Woody is folded in half here. Too cute. I am glad Woody was able to "right" himself.
He must be pretty limber. I know if I tried that, there would be lots of creaking, craking and groaning - both on the way down and on the way up!

Newby here. :yay: for an update! Looks like a great start to your day. Your son's face on ToT is priceless. I can't believe that there is still such a mad rush for TSM fastpasses. You would think that it would have died down alittle since it opened. Great ride but sheesh, 30 minutes for a fastpass:eek:.
:welcome: I don't know if the FP wait is actually 30 minutes - thankfully I've never had to wait in it. But for as long as that line stretches, it sure seems like it would be that long.

The pictures with Woody are, in a word, awesome!

Good job "running with the bull-headed" to the TSM fastpass machines.
The worst part of it is when you get stuck behind someone that doesn't know what the herd is doing and just stops to look at a map or something. The CMs do a good job of keeping it orderly - even blocking off the stairs just to the right of hat and making everyone go through the gates by Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I can just see the pile up that someone tripping on the stairs would cause. :scared1:

Has to be that because I can't think of any other reason. Are you sure Evan is in there?
That, and I'm just as big of a Disney Geek as she is. From the amount of women on these boards that complain that their husbands don't like Disney, I gather that's a pretty big deal.

Are you sure Evan is in there?
I'm pretty sure. I've never seen the real Woody with Lightening McQueen tennis shoes before. :rotfl2:

Couldn't agree more! I like TSM, but ToT and RnR are still my favorites in that park.:thumbsup2
I still think I have to give the nod to TSM. When you boil it all down, RnR is a roller coaster and ToT is a haunted house with a drop ride. Granted, both of them are far beyond those basic attractions and I'd put them at the top of any list of theme park attractions anywhere. But TSM is unique. I've never ridden anything like it - so I have to put it one very small notch above both of them.
What's that noise??? Oh, it must be some of those crickets from Don's TR coming over here... oh well.;)
Thank You! I'll be here all week! Try the veal.

Well, at least you got a half smile... could have been worse.
It has been brought to my attention that perhaps she was humoring me.
Whatever, the ride totally rocked!

I take it that since you're not going to share how the comparison went, that must mean you got your butt kicked.:lmao::rotfl2:
Let's just say the following quote was heard from someone else in our party "Son of a B*#+h! Who got 206,000?!"

I''ll tell you, who. This guy. :thumbsup2 <-pretend that thumb is pointed inward, at the face.

Poor kids... they look like they are freezing!
Hey, how about a little sympathy for the people outside of the stroller and blankets?:lmao:

Here's an idea...
  • Don't use the flash
  • Stop making excuses
Oh, and the sun was in my eyes.

I will say that I cut through Cosmic Rays 2 times when we were in MK and they had CMs directing people to open tables. There was no table holding or relaxing in there. There was a roped off line at the door with a CM standing at the front and 2 CMs walking through the tables and putting their hand up when one opened up.
They were doing that at Pecos Bill's when we were there later in the week. I wished they were doing it a Cosmic Ray's.

HEY THERE!
:wave2:

LOL Now you are trying to suck up to Bambi after you left her out there to fend for herself? :lmao::lmao::lmao:
Hey, whatever works. :thumbsup2

Can you email me this picture? I think it came out better than mine.
Can you email me this one too? Pretty please? :flower3:
Done and done.

So, who won? Evan or the light pole?
You were just there...do you remember seeing that light pole? Didn't think so.:thumbsup2

HAHA Barry!

:rolleyes1 You got in trouble, you got in trouble! :rolleyes1
Bambi got a real kick on this. She was sitting on the couch with her laptop and just started laughing. I asked her what she was reading and she just started chanting "You got in trouble, you got in trouble". :sad2:
Hey, at least I checked on you... not like some other guy who was off riding rides.... :scared1::scared1:
I would like to point out I had permission to go.

humm... how much?
how much you got?

Thank you. She always asks about Madison and how she is doing. Your kids are cuties too! :goodvibes
I think it's awesome that Juliana and Madison are so close in age, now Evan and your little guy will only be about 5 years apart - we'll have an entire family of nemeseseses!

great update barry, nice pics.:thumbsup2
Thanks Dave!

(drums fingers together) Excellent. If, you know, that's your thing. :rolleyes1 Great pictures!
Wait, isn't that everyone's thing?:confused3

Yes, that was my expression as well. It meant the same thing.
Perhaps, but I doubt he was wishing bodily harm to the Imagineers that built the ride.

You don't sound to good. Maybe you should go to a doctor and get that checked out.

Yes, I'm sure that was it. What kind of dowry did your father offer again?
Standard stuff. 5 chickens, a cow and two goats. But one of the goats had a bit of a limp.

These are completely different from Stupid Hat Pictures©, of course.
Of course. I wouldn't want to step on anyone's copyright.

Way to suck up to Woody! That's awesome! So did Buzz kick him in the shin?
Nah, Buzz remembered him from our Oct 2009 trip. Evan is an equal opportunity panderer.

:rotfl::rotfl:That would be funny... but mean!

Great Woody and Buzz pics
Our kids seem to be magnets for big hugs. Again, from our Oct 2009 trip:

The FP are nice and always a good reason to get up in the morning but we really get there for the chance to see Otto. You know Madison would be crushed if she can't see him.
Yeah, it's a good thing we found his schedule posted online!

To bad we did not get the picture of Jason holding on to Madison for dear life. :rotfl2:
:lmao::rotfl2:

Final warning dear. Any more and I pull the plug.
Just so everyone else is clear, she means the plug on my laptop. Not my life support plug.

I hope.

I have no idea why I married you. I think I was just bored and had nothing better to do that day. :bored: I stayed because I am lazy and don't really want to go to court on my day off.
Either way, I'm good. :thumbsup2

I like the puns, but maybe its the Y chromosome...
:woohoo:party:party::dancer:

Mr. Burns - Simpsons :)

+1 :thumbsup2

Am I allowed to award points in this thread? :confused3

Just so everyone else is clear, she means the plug on my laptop. Not my life support plug.

I hope.

Note to self: stay on Bambi's good side.

Release the hounds. :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2:

"This house has quite a long and colorful history. It was built on an ancient Indian burial ground, and was the setting of Satanic rituals, witch-burnings, and five John Denver Christmas specials."

Let's just say the following quote was heard from someone else in our party "Son of a B*#+h! Who got 206,000?!"

I''ll tell you, who. This guy. :thumbsup2 <-pretend that thumb is pointed inward, at the face.
And you didn't take the opportunity to brag about it??? Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Bambi reads your posts.:rotfl2::lmao:

We thought the DHS tree looked the nicest of all the Disney trees...

Well, it's actually December 7th, but the weather sure felt like a good old, down home Wisconsin Christmas.
It was bitter this morning!

Or maybe it's because if you miss rope drop, you're looking at a 30 wait to get a FastPass for mid-afternoon (at the earliest) for Toy Story Mania.
::yes::

IMG_3572.JPG

Very cute!!! (the kids, not you)

Don't worry, this is his "I'll protect you Grandma" face.
IMG_3579.JPG
That almost looks like the 'I'm about to be sick face!' :scared1:

(See what I did there - I used "road" instead of "rode". Not only because they're homonyms, but because the ride is street themed. Honestly, I don't know where I come up with these gems! They just come to me!)
:sad2:

Maybe it was the awesome grammar jokes that convinced her to marry me?
IMG00041-20101207-0933.jpg
Maybe it was your good looks?

Photo0183FourBySix.jpg

Can you photoshop that 2010 to a 2011? You can use it next year.. great pic!

Kayden had a really cool idea to make a hidden Mickey with their heads. Evan didn't really know what he wanted, so he crouched down too. If you tilt your computer monitor a little to the left and squint, you can see the Mickey.
It almost worked for me. :confused3

I rode with Evan. He's getting better - usually he struggles to break 5 digits.
IMG00042-20101207-1055.jpg
Nice score!

Which in turn morphed into an even BIGGER-ER hug...
IMG_3663.JPG
:lmao::lmao:

But before you go, it has been brought to my attention that we have a very special guest lurking on this tread...Everybody give a hearty welcome to the co-start of this Trip Report, Kaylene! :wave2:

Big hugs are the best! That Sully pic is so funny it's like big ball of fur and some legs lol!

Joining in and just got caught up. Aren't the tree houses great!? We stayed there the summer they opened, we were in one right at the beginning of the walking path to Saratoga. We walked over to a bus stop over there every morning instead of doing the double bus routine.

Love the pirates league....wish my kids were younger so I could get them todo it.

Good job Bambi on fighting off the marauding brazilians....did the kids happen to leave their swords with you for protection?

Of course.

No, unfortunately, he doesn't have an "I'm about to be sick face". He just stops what he's doing and yaks.

Maybe it was your good looks?
Nah, that's probably not it.

hmmm...:scratchin

Nice score!
:thanks:

I don't have a good picture of it, but a few years ago at Animal Kingdom, Evan waddled (he was probably 2 at the time) up to Baloo, who had sat down and leaned back against a wall. Baloo pulled Evan up and snuggled him down into his belly fur. Baloo stroked Evan's nose a few times. The whole time, Evan just looked up at him with a look of pure bewilderment. :rotfl2:

:welcome: to the party!

I would love to have the Tree House closest to Saratoga! It's a nice little walk from there to the bus stop.
There is no age limit at the Pirates League! Make them do it!:rotfl:
The swords were there, but would probably push her up from "rude American" to "assault with a deadly weapon."

Yup, that's us.
Have you heard the myth that says you can only stand an egg on it's end on the first day of spring and the first day of fall? A few of us decided to try it and post pictures of our victories.
DisDadDoc then busted the myth the next day when he posted a picture of an egg on it's end, right next to Monday's paper. Come to think of it, maybe he was actually holding it for ransom...
