Everything Michigan....

Happy day... I stopped by the house on my lunch hour and found from the digital clocks that the power came back on just before noon. The furnace was humming and the temp was back "up" to 54 degrees already. The biggest problem with restoring power was one of magnitude. Our one county alone had about 40,000 of the 110,000 homes state-wide that lost power during Sunday's ice. As of this morning Consumers said that they still had 577 discovered line-breaks to fix in our county. There have been bucket-trucks all over the place since Monday AM.

Hi Geoff. Sorry for the rough time you've had during this storm. I'm glad to hear that your power is back on. :thumbsup2
What county do you live in?

I had to drive north on I-75 from Ohio yesterday afternoon. I couldn't believe how terrible it was in Wayne County. It was almost like the snowplows hadn't touched parts of the interstate. As soon as I got into Oakland County, I-75 was majorly better.

Hey I'm just down the road in Okemos. We go out for pizza at Spags!

There was 10 to 14 inches in the driveway when I took the snow blower to it this afternoon.

Hi Neighbor!!! We live near Grand River and Zimmer, near Spags Bar and Grill. We are at the other Spags near Meridian every few weeks. I work in East Lansing.

We are in Wyandotte and we have about 4 inches already or so. It even thundered and Lightened once. :scared1: Packing up the skiis and heading up to Mt. Holly tomorrow!! :rotfl:

Another small world connection .. I have another DD and family who live in Wyandotte. We raised our family in Woodhaven and Allen Park. We moved to Williamston after all the kids were in college.
