Everything is changing, really need advice now!!

I will throw a wrench in this...my personal preference would be WL, however my 20-something kids all loved SSR. We sent them on a trip there a few years ago and now it's their favorite. They loved the proximity to DTD and the freshness of the rooms (WL and AKL are both dark).

Ok, so its between WL and AKL, the thing being I like the look of AKL more but it seems like Wl is in a better location?

The theming is great at both but very different. IMHO, AKL is more exotic while WL has a bit more of an outdoorsy theme.

Location is definitely better at WL and the boat to MK is great. I would really only consider AKL if I was renting a car.

I voted AKL for the variety. You have multiple good TS restaurants, good CS, lots of fun activities and the ability to order room service! When on a honeymoon, a couple should have the ability to just stay in and have the amenities delivered

If you are going to do parks everyday, WL. If you are going to relax and enjoy the resort, AKL.

I've stayed at several WDW resorts and AKL is my hands-down favorite! The theme is beautiful, the rooms have a very romantic feeling, the pools are great, and the restaurants are awesome! It's one of Disney's best honeymoon resorts & I think you would truly LOVE it!!!

Truly, it comes down to personal preference.

The big pro of Saratoga Springs is that even if you go with a studio, you'll have more space.Saratoga Springs will have 355 square feet in a studio, whereas the Lodges will offer 340 square feet. Not a huge difference, but some.

I think another consideration is the view. If you're looking for a standard view at the Lodges, I would pick Wilderness Lodge, since it's a bit more convenient in terms of transportation than Animal Kingdom. But if you're looking to splurge a bit on the view, I'd go Savannah View at the Animal Kingdom.

OR - you could try for a split stay if you're looking at room only reservations.

In your position, I would pick the Animal Kingdom Lodge. But that's just my $.02!

We just love WL.....our DVC home resort is VWL. However, you did say this is for a honeymoon, correct? As much as we love WL......I do have to say AKL does have more romantic appeal. DH and I stayed at AKV two years ago on our 30th anniversary trip and had a wonderfully relaxing few days.......actually, I don't think we even visited a park on that trip. Just hung out at the AKL pool with a good book and several cocktails, naps in our Savannah view 1 bdrm and some great dinners..... The pool area and the landscaping at AKL gives a more secluded feel than WL and the theming is also more romantic and relaxing.

I was torn between AKL and WL. I have stayed at WL and will stay at AKL in a month . I voted WL because of the location and the boat access to MK. WL is a beautiful resort and we've enjoyed both of our stays there.

I agree. OR...

You could stick with the Mod with the pin code and use the saved money to upgrade the package to Deluxe Dining or add the wine package or do spa treatments, etc.

I think the furnishings and decor at the AKL are much more romantic. The WL would be my second choice, and it is beautiful. However, the AKL makes me feel regal, like I am royalty, and the WL is more of a rustic beauty.

My vote would be WL. Although I have never stayed there, I would like to try it sometime. AKL is really nice but IMO too dark and I wasn't crazy about their pool area. Either way, if you can swing the price for the upgrade either resort will be great.

I voted for WL simply because it's my favorite and where we always stay. I love that it's all in one building, the quiet pool is great for couples (hardly any kids there most times) and I love the boat ride to MK.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I have not been to Saratoga, but would try it. Jiko is our favorite restaurant so we've explored AKL while we've eaten there and I really like the architecture and feel of it.

I would go for either WL or AKL. We've stayed at the WL, and love the theme, the location. Plus I find the atmosphere to be romantic. We're staying in a savannah view room at AKL this fall, though, so I might change my mind after that!
