Everything Else Swap

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!
It was pouring rain here today, and I had "non-scrap" errands to run. I was feeling grey like the day.. so coming home to a rain drenched package of scrap happiness was wayyy cool!

The only question I had was who made the nice borders wrapped in pretty paper?
It was the only thing with no name on it. Kathy

Got mine today also. I am always so amazed how we are all working separately and yet everything coordinates so well. I have friends that are so jealous!

Thanks everyone for doing such a great job! :cool1:

Just wanted to add in...I also got my package today...(Monday)...YEA...everything looks sooo great...Thanks. I also noticed there are sooo many things that will go well with the items I'm making for the Charactor swap right now.

Thanks Franne for hosting this one.

I noticed the great coordination too! But it made me wonder....I had chosen to do a Mickey poem & journal boxes. My Mickey poem isn't duplicated in the "Everything Else" swap, but we got 2 sets of Mickey journal boxes & frankly, they're similar to what I'm doing.

I'm still at a point where I could change the character I guess (just on the journal boxes.) I was thinking princesses since that's what I did for the Everything swap. I know GrayFal is doing Cinderella so I'd do Snow White and/or Aurora. Or I could do Pooh (MichellePooh is doing Tigger journal boxes.)

What do you think? Can you all use 2 more Mickey journal boxes or would you like me to change?

I can always use more of anything! :rotfl2: I'm doing Aurora for this swap, a matted lyric thing and two photo mats...a journaling box would be a nice addition (DD's favorite princess is Aurora so of course we have tons of pics and it gets challenging to have my pages look different!). BTW I love your princesses you did for the swap...did you do those by hand?

Aren't you sweet! No, I didn't do them by hand - I got one of those tubs of stamps at Michaels when the stamps were on sale one week. It had Cinderella, Snow White & Aurora in it along with 6 other coordinating stamps like a coach, mirror, crown etc.

After I posted this question I realized it was on the wrong thread. The ladies who have answered over there all said they'd like Mickey since he's kind of "generic" so I'll stick with the plan. (That way I don't have to start over.)

DD and I got ours yesterday too. We had company so I did not get a chance to post. It was a great day for them to come too. DD didn't make the softball team at school (she did last year) so she was bummed. Atleast she got her first swap things.

Aw, poor thing! I'm sure she was bummed about it. Being a teen is really tough!

But at least this way she'll have time to use all that new swap stuff. ;)

Just a thought....I don't think everyone who did the other swap is doing this swap...Yes alot of the same people are...but not everyone. So some people will not have the items we just got...so your journaling boxes will be their first set...also. I know if your doing "Disney" related album...you need alot of Mickey. After all Disney is Mickey...so for all those odd pages on a Disney vacation...that don't have an absolute theme...Mickey will work. In other words...I don't mind getting more micky stuff.

I received my swap package yesterday and was thrilled with everyones work. You are truly a talented group of swapping ladies!

Got my package yesterday when I went to pick up our pile of mail at the post office!
Everything is great! I love the fact that everything seems to work together!
The quilling was very interesting... I haven't seen that before up close! Can't wait to get some pictures to go with it. (HEY! Hint hint for the next Disney swap....the quilling would be super kewl for birds in Animal kingdom! or the Tiki room....)

I'm glad you liked the quilling. I wasn't sure since I hadn't seen any done for the 3 park swaps that were posted. They just reminded me of the birds that helped make the dress for Cinderella. ;)

Hmmmm.....pink flamingoes & toucans. :earseek: Sounds like a lot of work to me! Especially if there are 24 again! :scared1:

Seriously, though, I hadn't thought of doing that. I was wondering about how I was going to do my Birds of Flight (or whatever it's called) LO. Food for thought.... :mickeybar

Ladies, I know I am a bit behind but I just got my swap stuff (I'm in Canada) and I am thrilled to death :cloud9: . I now need to go to Disney again to take more pics and do things like Blizzard Beach and Chef Mickey's. My DH said that I had come up with a lot of lame excuses to go back but that this one topped them all! He just doesn't understand scrapping. :teeth: :rotfl:
