Everything but Disney Wednesday 19th October Aquatica + Afternoon tea
We had breakfast at the Village Inn on Westwood blvd near Seaworld. We both had a skillet each with pancakes. They accept the kids eat free card so DD ate for free. Cost $25 plus tip. It’s had a make over since last year looks a lot better inside – they’ve gone for a 50’s retro sort of look.
We arrived at Aquatica in time for opening at 10am.
Very quiet due to the threatening tropical storm. It was cloudy but warm. Just a few Brits there.
We had fun and planned on heading back another day but never made it.
Used our Seaworld refill cup - $1.06 for a refill of soda.
We left at 1pm and had a snack in the condo and got showered and changed – DD into a princess dress.
We had an adr for afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian at 3.20pm.
I’d booked this as myself and DD had done the princess tea party there last year. The princess tea party was definitely a one off due to cost but thought this would be nice and she could show Daddy where we went. The princess tea party is held in the garden view tea room in the morning, normal afternoon tea there in the afternoon.
Cost $47 plus tip
We had 1 Buckingham tea, a Mrs Potts tea for DD and trifle. I asked for the same tea i’d had last year at the tea party – think she said it was garden view blend. DD had apple juice in her tea pot and they made her all ham sandwiches as requested.
Afterwards we sat in the beautiful lobby – a band was playing, then later a pianist. DH was shattered so we left him having a rest. I took DD to the shop upstairs which is lovely and quiet and has all the princess dresses. I bought a few things for DD and a some things a friend had asked me to get her DD.
DH had wanted some soap from basin again but I looked and didn’t know which to get and never made it back.
I changed DD into normal dress and we headed from here to Florida mall – had promised DD her first visit to build a bear. At the mall I had a coupon for a VIP coupon booklet that I picked up at customer services – it had a $5 off coupon for build a bear in which we used.
Build a bear was quiet and DD had fun choosing her bear and it’s clothes - spent $50. She recorded a message for it’s paw saying ‘I love Florida and want to come back again!’.
