Everything booked?

I managed to get most meals I wanted, just not at the best times for our upcoming Sept/Oct trip. I keep calling and checking again, but everything seems to be booked. This is usually a pretty empty time of year, so I am a little concerned at how solidly booked things seem to be (I know the free dining goes through Sept 30 probably has a lot to do with it). I was just curious if anyone else going around that time found things to be harder to book for ADRs as well. Is it just the places I chose, or is it going to be full when we go?

I made my ADRs a couple of months ago for Sept/Oct, and got everything I wanted within 10 minutes of my request times. I also just called this morning to add two more ADRs and had no problems getting the times I wanted. I'm a West Coaster though, so I like later dinners than many people - plus I like to eat at the end of my park day! I would normally eat around 7 or 8pm on the West Coast, so 8 or 9pm in Florida will still be plenty early for me. With that said, most of my ADRs this time around are actually for 6-7pm, and only two are after 9pm.

I would keep calling back and trying again. I also wonder about calling back and choosing other options, like perhaps choosing the Florida resident option, and saying that you are NOT on the dining plan to see if they actually have a separate pool of reservations available that way... just always makes me wonder since they ask those things up front before checking availability...

I don't think the parks will be packed, just the TS places. I think you are feeling the effects of free dining and 180 + 10 Adrs. I had no trouble making my ADR's but I made them in April.

I booked my ressies for Sept/Oct a few days BEFORE I booked the free dining package - so, like 3 months ago. But, I rearranged a few last week and got California Grill and a few others for the times that I wanted. By the way, what are you looking for. Maybe some people are double booked and you might get lucky. :wizard:

I just booked Boma for 8pm on September 22nd (DH's birthday). This is the first time we ever booked an ADR before arriving at Disney - we usually just wing it when we get there and never had any problems getting into wherever we wanted to go - but since this is the day we arrive, I didn't want to chance it.

I've already tried that....like a month ago I posted on here what I had and asked if anyone wanted to switch. I made my ADRs months ago too, I just have found it more difficult this time around than ever before - and we've been at Christmas and in June and on Spring Break. For some reason, the places we want just don't have openings for us. :confused3

We have added a day to our trip -- and MNSSHP -- so I have tried to make some changes to our ADRs. Most I have just kept as is...but I wanted to change our dinner with Cinderella at Park Fair -- so to get that we have to eat dinner at 8:20pm. I am planning to keep trying to get it ealier (7:30 would be fine!) -- but we'll just make do if we have to keep that time. I also thought about canceling it and adding the princess breakfast in Norway, and that was completely booked each day of our trip!

I just booked today for our October trip and got everything we wanted including breakfast at Chef Mickeys. Maybe the free dining in September is causing your problem. Can you be flexible with your times?

well the problem is that if your goin like me the last day of the free dining which is sept 30 the first week in october everything is booked solid until friday when they canada steakhouse lecuellar i spelled it wrong but the food is the best steak and potatos creamcheese mashed are just awesome so we have a 410 sat afternoon res i wanted either monday or tues but booked solid

we changed our free dining trip from the last week of Sep to the first week of Oct. Already had ADRs for the Sep timeframe. Went to call for new ADRs 2 weeks ago and I got everything we wanted, including 1900 PF, LeCellier, etc. This was for 2 adults, 2 kids.

We, too, couldn't get most of the ADRs we wanted. Our dates are 9/21-9/27. LeCellier, Crystal Palace, and 50's Prime Time were booked SOLID for dinners. We had to make ADRs for lunch, which we really didn't want to do.

I've been calling but they continue to be booked solid. We'd even take a really late dinner, if we could (ie: 8pm!)...

Any other suggestions? Do you think if we changed our travel dates we'd have better luck? (Our dates are very flexible)

I had booked everything until I found out they had a MNSSHP on the 22nd. Well as luck would have it that Friday night is the night we had Le Cellier. The only other time I could get on another night was at 8:50 on our very first night. I'm not thrilled with the 8:50 time but will take it. I also plan on calling back and seeing if I can get anything earlier.

we got 1900 pf too and le steakhouse for 410pm pf was at a good time so it works but callin back to get le steakhouse for another time earlier in my week stay

I had a hard time getting decent times for our trip 10/28-11/4 and I called at the 190 day mark. I was hoping for times around 6 or 6:30 but could only get 5 or 7ish. We ended up taking times around 7 for most of our dinners. That's fine for the adults but it makes it a little late for the kids. I guess it's better than making them leave the park at 3:30 to go back to the room and clean up for dinner.

What is this in reference to? :)
i was just having trouble understanding what one of the posters was saying but if figured it out later

i called a few days after the 180 mark in april for our sept trip and did not get 2 ressies i wanted , but got everything else. we are eat at 7-8pm kind of folks, no kids. next time , i will call on the day.....but thank goodness i had a huge list of places and had done some homework-hats off to the disers. :goodvibes

We're going in August. HDD was booked up except for the 9:30 p.m. show. We took that even though we have 2 kids with us. I actually didn't mind taking the 9:30 p.m. as I hope we'll have decent seats this time. We were at the back of the room last time and had a hard time seeing the show.

I also couldn't get a Fantasmique dinner package at Mama Melrose. The Fantasmique dinner package isn't worth two TS credits at Brown Derby, IMO, though I like that restaurant alot. And, we simply won't do H&V (hate buffets with characters -- can't tolerate them at all without characters).

But, again, I didn't really care. We've seen Fantasmique twice and that was really enough. It was too loud and noisy for our kids and, in August, we were drenched in sweat by the time the show started. We're not huge fans of it anyway (thought it was alot of sound and fury signifying very little) and aren't going to break our necks trying to see it this trip.

Every other ADR we wanted, we've gotten with no problem in the last few days.
