Everything all booked for early Jan?!?!

I am a newbie, planning a trip for just me and my DD5. I am working with Small World Vacations and they seem great. I was wanting to go Jan 4-8, but they said there is nothing available at all. BUMMER!!! I guess I'm glad that I know this...I thought going in early Jan would be a great time to go and avoid crowds, lines, etc. But if all the resorts are fully booked, then I guess that is NOT when I want to go!

I asked them to look at Jan 18-22. Hopefully we will be able to find something good in that timeframe.

That weekend is the marathon so that is probably what has a lot booked up, if you put the dates in for a few days later you would probably be okay. We are arriving on the 6th! Have a magical trip whenever you get there!

Yes, the marathon will definitely fill up the WDW resorts and even some of the surrounding resorts including DTD. My db and his family had some difficulty with this last Jan. They were booked for the week and there wasn't any availablity the last night so they booked a room near the airport for their last night HOWEVER when they checked in they were able to add that last night where they were originally staying.

You shouldn't have any probably booking something in January after the 7th or 8th.

I know a few people who have been there during the marathon time and they said it does not really affect the crowds in the parks, just stay away from the MK on the 7th which is where we will be b/c that is my DD's birthday!

All of the All Stars had rooms this AM for Jan2-9.

I just booked WL conceirge for Jan 4-7. My only choices were AKL (I think this was conceirge too), WL conceirge, and BC deluxe king room. BC and Wl were about the same price and we've never stayed conceirge before so I figured why not

We are staying the 7-12th at BWV (dvc) - I can't wait

I was trying to book Poly or CR a couple of days ago for that first week of Jan. The only deluxe coming up was Wilderness Lodge and AK. Looks like the monorail resorts are booked up already for that first week.
