So Im at the park, yesterday, with my son. I had on my new SSR baseball hat and my DIS lanyard with some pins, including my 3 SSR pins. This woman asked if I had been to SSR to which I said I had just gotten back. She told me that they had just bought into SSR and wanted to hear all about it, which I was happy to help out with (omitting the smoking optional story).

She mentioned being online and I asked if she had found the disboards and she said, "yes."

So everyone say a great big "HI!" to our new friend and neighbor! Maybe she'll wave back;)

I was glad you were using the word that way. Where I come from a "disser" is one who disses. (criticizes or puts down!)

just read this thread....don't take this the wrong way...you guys gave me the best gift of the day...I laughed out loud...I, too, thought "disser" was one who "dissed" someone. but the post caught my eye, had to look :rotfl: Must need some sleep, 'cause I'm still giggling.

Hello, mystery DIS woman & fellow SSR owner!!
 :rotfl:

"dis" comes from "disrespect" That's how it is used.

We met a number of people at Member Homecoming who said they read the DIS and some who never heard of it, but are insterested. So to all you lurkers and newbies - WELCOME!
