EVERYONE remembers their "FIRST TIME"TR by Timandlesley 11/27 Day5 pg.18

Glad you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving :goodvibes

Can't wait for your update :surfweb:

Can't wait to hear about the upcoming trip... you have got my interest peaked... And I know Tim will have a great time - I'm sure you wish you could be there too!!!

The fifth and final day of our OUTSTANDING OCTOBER trip!
We woke up and were greeted by the most BEAUTIFUL sunrise:
103_5276640x480.jpg

I had made a 7:30 reservation for Chef Mickey’s to surprise the kids on the final day so they were SUPER excited! We called Bell Services and had them hold our bags for later and then we made our way down to the lobby for breakfast (another awesome perk to staying at Bay Lake Tower):
103_5277640x480.jpg

The kids immediately got into the spirit:
103_5279640x480.jpg

We made our way to the buffet, and filled our plates with Mickey waffles, fresh fruit, and breakfast casseroles- great breakfast had by all. Then the characters started coming around (they were REALLY slow coming around on this particular morning), we had to wait about 30 minutes until our first one:
103_5282640x480.jpg

103_5284640x480.jpg

Then it was time for the big guy, OF COURSE he was worth the wait : )
103_5287640x480.jpg

103_5288640x480.jpg

Me and my boyfriend….
103_5289640x480.jpg

Then we waited for Donald to come by and were happy to see him:
103_5291640x480.jpg

Then it was time for Tim’s girlfriend, she thought Tim’s Mickey Halloween shirt was funny:
103_5294640x480.jpg

Aren’t they a cute couple:
103_5295640x480.jpg

By this time the kids were getting jealous so we decided to give them a turn:
103_5292640x480.jpg

103_5293640x480.jpg

MY TURN!!!
103_5296640x480.jpg

Then, I guess the kids were just in a hugging mood so they decided to hug eachother :
103_5299640x480.jpg

Time was TICKING away and Pluto was still nowhere in sight and we almost decided to skip him all together but then he came out of the kitchen, geez, it was a killer wait for characters but it was our last day and the kids were thrilled so we held out, by their faces you can tell it was worth it:

103_5300640x480.jpg

Luke found Pluto’s scratching spot behind the ears and he LOVED that! (he was shaking his leg, it was cute)
103_5301640x480.jpg

103_5302640x480.jpg

After a great breakfast with our favorite people we were itching to hit the Magic Kingdom one last time, so we headed to the monorail.
103_5304640x480.jpg

103_5305640x480.jpg

When we entered the gates I saw the horse drawn carriage just waiting there and being this is a trip of FIRSTS and I have always wanted to try that we hopped on!
103_5307640x480.jpg

103_5309640x480.jpg

I am so glad we did this, it such an awesome way to start off our morning at the Magic Kingdom. Here is Lauren taking it all in:
103_5310640x480.jpg

103_5312640x480.jpg

It dropped us right in front of the castle, what a great FIRST for us!
CONTINUED IN NEXT POST!

Then we were off to the races, we dashed towards Peter Pan:
103_5314640x480.jpg

It only had a 5 minute wait……… walked right on……. OUTSTANDING!
103_5316640x480.jpg

Luke proud of his hidden Mickey find:
103_5317640x480.jpg

We had a great ride and then decided we were in the mood to experience some Disney magic in 4D so we headed to Philarmagic, another wonderful attraction with NO WAIT!

103_5321640x480.jpg

I just love that show, it was wonderful as usual.
Then we headed over to get dizzy on the teacups. Tim always sits this one out due to motion sickness. Up until this year I have always managed to convince the kids not to spin the cup, but this year they were out to get me : )
103_5327640x480.jpg

Look at Luke’s devilish grin as he made me spin until I wanted to puke:
103_5328640x480.jpg

After that the kids wanted to ride it again (there was no wait whatsoever so why not?) but I wasn’t feeling so hot after that spin so I had them ride it by themselves:
103_5330640x480.jpg

After they had their fill of the tea we headed over to the Indy Speedway, I was excited that Lauren was tall enough to drive this trip. Only a 10 minute wait which was WAY cool!
Luke ready to go:
103_5332640x480.jpg

I drove with Lauren, she had so much fun driving for the first time. She started out taking her role VERY seriously ; )
103_5333640x480.jpg

But then it quickly turned into fun:
103_5338640x480.jpg

103_5335640x480.jpg

Luke drove his own car for the first time:
103_5339640x480.jpg

And Tim enjoyed a solo ride:
103_5340640x480.jpg

After that we decided to give Buzz Lightyear a try, we all were out to beat Lauren’s score. There was NO line:
103_5342640x480.jpg

As we were walking through the turnstyles Tim and I were trying to look up high point zones as fast as possible:
103_5343640x480.jpg

Well…. All that research didn’t pay off:
103_5344640x480.jpg

Since we weren’t happy with our scores we decided to go out and ride again, again NO WAIT, why not!?!
Scores improved a BUT we still had nothing on Lauren:
103_5348640x480.jpg

If you remember from my summer Trip Report, Lauren and I saw PUSH (the talking trash can) when we were at Magic Kingdom without the boys. Ever since then Luke has been on a MISSION to see PUSH. We couldn’t find him the rest of the trip last summer and couldn’t find him yet this trip either. We came out of the ride and he was RIGHT there! Luke was on CLOUD NINE!
103_5351640x480.jpg

PUSH did this cute thing, asked Luke his name and did the darth vadar breathing and said “LUUUUUUKKEEE, (looooong pause here) I’m NOT your father!” Luke thought this was the best, then PUSH asked him for a hug:
103_5352640x480.jpg

Then Lauren’s turn:
103_5353640x480.jpg

Only in Disney is it socially acceptable for your kids to hug a trash can and pose for a picture with it as well:
103_5354640x480.jpg

Well, our mission to find PUSH was accomplished so we had a VERY happy boy on our hands. Now he wanted to ride one of his favorites (don’t ask me why) ride: Stitch’s great escape, so we walked on that (glad we didn’t have to wait for this one):
103_5355640x480.jpg

By this time we were hungry so we headed over to Cosmic Rays for lunch. On the way over Luke was being attacked by tons of CRAZY birds!
103_5356640x480.jpg

Tim waited in line for our food as we enjoyed the entertainment of Sonny Eclipse:
103_5357640x480.jpg

Lauren danced along:
103_5358640x480.jpg

We enjoyed our lunch (we got the rotisserie chicken, they were good). After lunch it was almost time for us to leave so we could catch our Magical Express but Lauren REALLY wanted to see Princess Tiana. It was on the times guide this time so we headed that way. We asked CM’s and were told that she had a meet and greet behind the Christmas store in the American Pavillion so we headed that way and Lauren was VERY excited!
CONTINUED IN NEXT POST!

Well, I probably should have done more research and not talked it up to Lauren because as we approached and were told by a CM what time the meet and greet was and it was empty back there I excitedly said to Lauren “we’re going to get to meet Tianna Lauren!!! We’ll be one of the first to see her”. Well, as we walked up we saw her coming out and we were SO excited!!!
103_5359640x480.jpg

Do you see the CM with her hand held up, well that was because it wasn’t meet and greet time, I guess she comes out back there, does the parade and boat show and THEN does the meet and greet. Lauren was DEVESTATED. Princess Tianna saw her crying and waved to her and the very nice prince said “come see our show!”
103_5360640x480.jpg

Poor Lauren. I showed her the picture of Tianna waving to her, I said “Lauren, you are so lucky you are one of the first girls to see her and she WAVED at you”, this helped a LITTLE but she was definitely now pouting. Tianna was so beautiful, love her dress!
We headed over to see the parade. We had a good spot in front of the Diamond Horseshoe and they came out close to there on their way to the riverboat:
103_5363640x480.jpg

103_5364640x480.jpg

The parade was such fun, loved the music, the characters, they even threw beads, it was cool!
103_5365640x480.jpg

Then we headed to the riverboat, and enjoyed the show. It was really fun. They select people before the show to ride in the riverboat with the characters, so you could give that a try, but I thought our spot was great because you can see the parade and the riverboat show.
103_5367640x480.jpg

103_5372640x480.jpg

103_5373640x480.jpg

So, now we had another Disney FIRST, Tianna and the Riverboat show, it was GREAT!
Well, as our time in the Magic Kingdom was drawing to a close I had to have a Dole Whip Float before leaving, so we headed that way:
103_5374640x480.jpg

I had to fight the kids off for some:
103_5375640x480.jpg

We headed to the exit, Luke waved goodbye under the “see you real soon” pumpkins:
103_5378640x480.jpg

We had the monorail to ourselves on the way back to the Contemporary:
103_5379640x480.jpg

Before we boarded the Magical Express back to the airport we decided we had one more thing to do. Our new friends from this past summer (dddisrunner and her family)Diane, Bryan, Matthew and Eric were going to be checking into BayLake next week and we wanted to leave them something behind for them. We decided after our whoopee cushion incident from this past summer (if you didn’t read our TR from last summer the link is in my signature, check it out), so we headed to the arcade to earn enough tickets to leave them behind the counter for them at checkin : ) While Tim and the kids were earning points in the arcade I headed to the gift shop to buy a gift card for Eric since it was his birthday when they were there. Before we knew it we had everything we wanted to leave behind for our friends:
103_5380640x480.jpg

103_5381640x480.jpg

We left them at the front desk for them and then headed out to Bell Services to get our bags and wait for the bus:
103_5383640x480.jpg

Before we knew it we were on the bus headed for the airport:
103_5384640x480.jpg

Lauren decided to lay down and Luke was a good brother and was her pillow:
103_5385640x480.jpg

So here comes the cigarette burning part I forwarned you about. So here is how this happened. We got off the bus and Tim was getting our luggage off of the bus and I went over with the kids to get a cart. Well, next thing I knew Lauren was headed over to Tim after helping me get the cart and she came running back to me screaming and crying rubbing her arm. I kept asking her what happened and she was to upset to answer and this lady said “I think a cigarette burned her”, I said “WHAT?” and she said “it’s out now!”, HUH, I was so confused. Why was someone smoking by the bus, and you had the nerve to burn my child with it and not even apologize or step up for doing it. She walked off, I told Tim what happened and he was MAD! Lauren was so upset, I had to find her a band aid. I asked her if the lady who had told me about the cigarette was smoking and she told me yes and the cigarette had burned her…. Just what I thought which angered us more because she NEVER owned up to it.
Well, we ran into her again at security and Tim said something to her about it and she denied it, basically told us we were liars and when I showed her Lauren’s arm she said “where you THERE, did you see it?” I said “no a cigarette magically burned her arm, guess I had to be there to see that?” Luke said “apologize to her please” and she said to Luke “mind your manners young man, you are a rude little boy, you have some nerve”, well that REALLY burned me up, but we had to let it go because we were at security. I HATE it when you leave Disney and you have to be forced so quickly back into reality.
But let’s not focus on the negatives here, we had a nice flight home and arrived home safely.
This was a FABULOUS trips of firsts for our family, I just LOVED everything new we got to experience this trip and that we were able to do so with PERFECT temperatures and low crowds. Thanks for taking another trip with the “timandlesley” crew, we love to share our trips with you. Tim will be returning to the world in FOURTEEN DAYS and he’ll be doing a TR so look for the link here when he returns.
ON ANOTHER NOTE, we booked a 5 night Disney Cruise on the NEW DREAM ship for the summer of 2011, SOOOOOO excited I could jump out of my skin!!!!! We will be returning to Animal Kingdom Lodge this coming June, so be on the lookout for more Trip Reports to come, until then……………………. Bye friends!

What an awesome last day you had

The crowd level was awesome :goodvibes

My favorite pics were the one with Luke grinning while he was spinning the tea cups so fast and the one with Lauren driving on the Indy Speedway....they looked so happy..loved it :cutie:

That was so nice of you to leave stuff for Diane and her family. So great you all formed such a nice friendship :goodvibes

I can't believe the nerve of that lady who burnt Lauren. Shame you were at airport when that happened. You definitely can't get into a shouting match there. You don't want to be denied boarding :headache:

Thanks for sharing your report with us. It was great as usual

Looking forward to Tim's report. :surfweb:

Great TR. Your family always seems to be having so much fun! We're going to DAP. I'll have to keep my eye out for Tim. I hope to convince my DH to book the Dream while on board the Wonder next month so we can get the discount and credit! It looks amazing. Of course, that is if we enjoy the cruise. We've never cruised before. Looking forward to Tim's TR. Thanks for sharing.:goodvibes

What a super last day!
Well except for the smoker that burned Lauren's arm...

Do you have your June dates yet?

LOVE your trip reports and I'm sad this one is over! I hope Tim takes a lot of pictures for his TR! I at least have that to look forward to. Your trip reports and ddisrunner's are my FAVORITES! Actually, you raised the bar so high they are the ONLY ones I read now!!

Another wonderful trip report Lesley! Glad that your family was able to experience Disney in the fall. That is awesome about the Disney cruise booking. Can't wait to hear about Tim & Brian's trip.

The whoopee cushion idea was hysterical. :rotfl:

Great trip report! Too bad it was so short ;)

I'm getting angry just reading about that lady that burned poor Lauren. Who can be like that? There sure are some miserable people out in the world. :sad2:

Can't wait to hear about Tim's trip and many more trip reports to come!!! :cutie:

What a great last day, and that was so sweet of you to leave behind gifts for Diane and family! I can't believe that lady at the airport. I hope Lauren didn't end up with a scar on her arm.

You are gonna LOVE the cruise! We have done three. It is completely different from doing the parks, and soooo relaxing!

You had a great trip of "firsts". I lurk on your tr's and have gone back to read your other ones. You always have such great trips. I also do follow your blog too. I am looking forward to Tim's report.

As always, I LOVED your TR to the MAX!!!
Boy, you have to bottle luke still loving the
characters, hugging them and all. How old is
he, is it 8?? It won't be long before he thinks
he is to "old" for that kind of thing, so you
have to soak it all up while the gettin is good!
Can't wait to hear all about Tims upcoming
christmas disney adventure!:goodvibes

Aww what a fun last day!

Riding the trolley up Main Street...walk-on for PP! AWESOME!

The kids looked so excited to find PUSH!

Wow, the new Riverboat Show looks neat! What a great idea for the movie!

Aw, I hate leaving. :sad1: I can't believe someone did that to Lauren though!

Loved this TR..which is not a surprise because I loved all your other ones!

We rode the horse drawn carriage at MK last year and it was one of my best memories! We had carolers singing Christmas songs on the back as we rode down Main St. with all the decorations. It was just a beautiful experience. I was teary-eyed by the time I got to the castle.

My DD was also able to drive the Speedway cars this year. She was so proud and has told everyone that she got her driver's license! The look on Lauren's face just says it all!

That is just amazing about the idiot at the bus. I might have been taken out of there in handcuffs.:lmao: People never cease to amaze me though. You just have to say they aren't worth it and let it go I guess. She'll get here's one day. I mean you have to be a real looser to do that to a kid and not feel bad about it.

Can't wait to hear all about your next adventure. The cruise sounds fantastic!!!! I'm so excited for you!

I totally enjoyed this TR, made me feel like I was there. Our last trip we didn't get to the MK for more than an hour or so & that was to see Wishes. So, I got to enjoy it through your TR. There will be a next time for us, maybe in '11.

You have to ingnore some people, they just don't get it!

Sorry to hear that your trip to the airport was not so magical, but glad Lauren was OK in the end. And props to Luke for being more adult than the lady!
