Everyone on the DIS likes "______," however I thought, "_____."

Everybody on the DIS likes the cheddar cheese soup they serve at Le Cellier. Not me, I tasted a sample at the Wine & Food festival one year... not impressed. Another negative for Dole Whips, I would rather have a citrus swirl.

Not as good as I was expecting:

:guilty: 50s Prime Time ~ Everyone raved about Prime Time so we made PSs there on our trip earlier this month. The food was good, our waiter wasn't good. All in all, I wish we'd have just eaten counter service instead of investing so much time in this meal. Waste of time, IMHO.

:cheer2: Even better than I was expecting
Whispering Canyon Cafe! ~ Took the boat from MK over for dinner and whole crew had a blast and a great meal!

Like Bonnie, I would much rather have a Citrus Swirl! Dole Whips are nothing special.

Everyone raved about Beaver Tails, but I never thought they were all that great. I won't miss them.

Ditto on the turkey legs. Well seasoned, but very greasy. Hard to eat with all those parts that look like plastic.

Yeah, all those tendrils and sinewy parts...

I must say though that I went to Boma for the first time thanks to this board and it is my favorite restaurant ever. We go at least once every visit and even had Thanksgiving dinner there.

Everyone on the DIS likes turkey legs, however when I tried one for the first time it was so gross it went straight into the garbage after one bite and created a look on my face that probably scared the crap out of everyone within 20 feet of me. I am glad to hear I am not the only one who is perplexed by all the turkey leg hoopla. Okay, my turkey leg memories are making me shiver and I need to go now.

OK, I'll play.... Everyone on the Dis likes Whispering Canyon, but I thought it was loud, a bit obnoxious, and the food was only average at best.

Every one raves about Cinderella's breakfast, we thought snotty princesses and bad bland food .

Ditto to Lisa AF on the Cinderellas breakfast. We were told we would have french toast but it came covered in blueberry sauce - yech!! - :guilty: . And then the breakfast potatos came as a "casserole" with all kinds of stuff in it - nobody ate much of anything and we went away hungry. Our high point was seeing "The Rock" eating only a few tables away from us. Talk about a thrill - he's gorgeous!!

That would make it worth my while! :smooth:

Now that's a funny visual!

I never understood the rave reviews about: turkey legs, cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier or grapefruit cake at Brown Derby! Oh, yeah... I won't miss the Beaver Tails in Canada, either! :earboy2:

I like the Dole Whip, always have to have it when I go to Mk.
I want to try the Beaver Tails, but everytime I pass the place that sells them, it is closed.
Like the Turkey legs at MGM!
Love the Cheddar Cheese Soup, especially with the Pretzel Bread.. yummmmm!
Never eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table.
Like Boma
Don't like Whispering Canyon
Oh, and I have another one. Everyone on the Dis Boards raves about Wilderness Lodge, but I found the rooms too small to comfortably fit the oversized furniture, and the rooms were so dark, I felt like I was in a cave. It's a great place to visit (beautiful lobby and pool) but I wouldn't want to stay there again.

One of my friends was the Rock's Tour guide...

This is kind of a grumpy thread, but I'll join in.

I definitely don't get the hoopla over 'Ohana! We used to like it, but the last few times we've been (two trips ago was the last time), the food was really dry and bland. Not good, and a real waste of time. Plus it's really loud in there!

As for the turkey legs, yuck-o. Never had one at Disney, but if they're anything like what they serve at the Renaissance Festival, no thanks!

Beaches and Cream is definitely better than your average fast food burger, just to address that issue; they grind the meat there, so it's fresh. Yum. :earboy2:

Everyone at the DIS seems to like the Coral Reef at EPCOT - we BOTH thought the food was marginal, view was nice, none of the wait staff knew any of the fish, kids around us were only interested in the big tank for about 10 minutes and then became bored to parents' disappointment. (12/04)

I like the pinapple and vanilla swirl dole Whip (u have to like yogurt though), Italian cola (Beverly is it?) - DH does not.

DH likes Brown Derby's grapefruit cake - the piece we recently got was marginal (12/04).

Everyone at Dis likes LeCellier - last time we were there it had gone "downhill."

We had bad experience at Narcoose's several years back, went back last week and it was awesome.

Things at Disney are always changing!!!

Everyone likes O'hana, but we thought the meat was a little tough.

We're with the non-turkey leg fans - yuck.

On the other hand, I've read a lot of slams of Coral Reef, and we love it every trip!

Like another poster said - the great thing about Disney is that there's something for everyone!

Everyone raves about **the South African wines available at AKL**, but I was shocked at the price of a glass, let alone a bottle.

In the reverse, everyone bashes **San Angel Inn**, but we truly enjoyed our meal there!
