Everyone on the DIS likes "______," however I thought, "_____."

Everyone loves CRT, but we thought it was just "okay." The dining room was beautiful. However, the food was mediocore and way, way overpriced. The kids enjoyed meeting the princesses, but if truth be told, I think they would have rather been outside riding rides. CRT was the first character breakfast we had ever done-we had previously been to Chef Mickey's for dinner. For our family, character dinners are better, because in the morning they just want to ride the rides.

I've seen many rave reviews for the Tambu Lounge at the Poly. While the atmosphere is pretty cool, the drinks are WAY to strong for my liking. I couldn't even choke down the backscratcher! The waitress noticed that I wasn't drinking much of it and offered to bring me another drink. I just asked for a non-alcoholic strawberry daquiri! There was enough liquor in that drink to last me a month!! =)

When my DH and I arrived for our dinner at 'Ohana in February '05, we both got alcoholic drinks from the Tambu Lounge. Contrary to your experience, our drinks were delicious, but VERY WEAK, and DH and I drink alcohol maybe once a month. So it may depend on the bartender working there that shift.

By the way, we were not impressed with 'Ohana's cuisine; we'll try Kona next time.

Everybody on DIS loves the Food and Wine festival but we wondered where on earth the chefs got the recipes from (certainly not therelevant countries)

We didn't see what the big deal was either back in October 2003 :confused3 .

Here come the flames....
Everyone on the DIS likes the Dining Plan, however I want the only thing influencing my food choices to be my hunger level.

Same here, except my reasoning is based on price. We can and do eat for cheaper, and I still do not go hungry. (Do you really need an appetizer, entree & dessert PER person PER meal?? I'd be fat and you'd have to roll me down main street.) :rotfl:

Ditto for the Dole Whips. Their title is intriguing, in reality not so much.

Beaches and Cream for me... it was very crowded, the overly "sweet smell" that hung in the air got to me, and while the ice cream was good, it was nothing spectacular.

I was so glad to see others didn't like Boma's since there is so much praise for it on the boards. However, I do understand that everyone has different tastes and that is why it's so great that WDW has so many choices, but we just didn't enjoy it. The soups were good and my DH liked the prime rib. It was just too expensive for the amount of food we actually liked there.

However, we do love 'Ohana's!!! We were there in December and had GREAT service and thought the food was wonderful as uaual. :cool1:
