Everyone loves ________ but I just don't get it!

Amen!

1) Everybody loves Illuminations REO but that's because they don't remember IllumiNations the original!

2) Everybody loves Peter Pan's Flight but that's because...well, actually, I have no idea!

3) Everybody loves OHana but that's because...nope, no idea on that one either.

I don't get either of them. :rolleyes1

I remember the old Illuminations (have it on video; how boring!!!) and love the recent one. In fact it is my favorite attraction in all of WDW. And, the Christmas holiday version is unbelievable!!!!

Dole Whips. I tried one last year. It was nasty. :scared1:

Sorry all you Dole Whip lovers! Hey, more for you!:yay:

i'm wonderin' why some of y'all even go.

not liking this or that is one thing, but the ones who have long lists of some of the coolest things at disney... too funny. :lmao:

I was just thinking the same thing. Why if your list is soooo long do you bother to go back. There might be one or two things I may not like as much as someone else but I chalk that up to a matter of taste, but to have like 7 or 8 things on a list that you don't like I have to ask the question "why are you spending so much time planning and so much money trying to get to a place that has soooo many things you don't enjoy doing?" Doesn't make much sense to me.

BTW, I'm just so grateful to be there with my loved ones I don't have time to dwell on what I do or don't like. FLAME ON! I'm a big girl, I can take it.

Well I think its a good thing everyone doesn't love the same resort, the same restaurant or the same rides ....could you imagine the lines and waits if they did  . Thankfully WDW has tons of shows and restaurants and attractions for us whether we love them all or not :)

I think that you might want to be flamed:rolleyes1 ...but no flames here. To each his/her own and I think nothing is wrong with saying you don't like something at WDW....even if you don't like a dozen things there , there are still tons of things left to like. :)

Not wanting to get flamed, just knowing what I said might get me flamed. I'm not sure if you read what I typed but I can sum it up for ya. I do understand not liking something and no I don't think everyone should like the same things. However, I just don't understand those who have a long list of things yet still continue to come to that very place where all those things happen to be. I know IF it were me (and trust me I realize everyone is entitled to their own taste) and there were more than a few things I didn't like about a place I wouldn't spend time or money trying to get bact to that place. But it doesn't matter what I think because that's the beauty of this country as well as Disney; people have the right to like or dislike whatever they choose and I have a right to be baffled by it all.

Yep everyone is entitled to their opinions...not everyone feels the need to post them and try to stir the pot ...but to each his own :)

What's funny is that for everything here, you could go through all the posts and find one that makes you go "I can't believe someone doesn't get THAT-doesn't everyone love it?" and something else where you nod and go, "That's right-I don't get that either." I love all the rocking chairs, but I'll bet there are people who think "Go to WDW and just sit in a rocking chair?"
Different strokes for different folks.

Different strokes for different folks.

Exactly!

Also...if someone has a list of 5 things they don't like, that means there are hundreds of things on their like list. There are some Disneyphiles who would never admit to not liking everything at WDW 100% and there are others who are more honest and realistic.

Please feel free to fill the blank with......

Soarin'
Space Mountain
Fantasmic
MNSSHP
HalloWishes
Fantasmic
Jungle Cruise
M:S
Festival of the Lion King
CBJ

.....and many more, but these are my major :confused3 attractions. Maggie

Umm....Okaaaay. So what DO you like?

I'm pretty shocked at some of the things people are listing.
How can you NOT like ________?

I can't really think of anything that I don't get. Even if I don't love it, I can see why someone else might. I'm pretty easy to please I guess.

(OK, maybe Indy Speedway- never tried, never want to-- put-put cars that look like they go very slow-- no appeal to me or my kids)

I always hated, with a passion, Mr. Toads Wild Ride. A cheap carnival fun house with cardboard, dayglow, cutouts. As much as I am indifferent to the Pooh ride it is a vast improvement over the Toad. (I'll duck now and slink away)

 :scared1: :scared:

Everyone loves Soarin' but I just don't get it. I don't get the fascination with this ride resulting in huge standby times.:rotfl2:

Everyone loves pin trading but I just don't get it. I don't need any more collectibles, and I can just imagine the tears for lost pins, etc.

I'm with you on Soarin. I'll ride it and enjoy it, but I don't think its even the best ride in the Land Pavillion. The only other thing I don't "get" is Illuminations. For me its a great time to enjoy the shops at EPCOT without people in my way :rotfl:

I don't get Soarin'.

This was the attraction I was looking forward to most on our last trip. But it's just an IMAX screen with moving seats. We were seated on the bottom row to the far right so we were looking at the bottom and right edge of the screen and had feet hanging down from above. During the entire time, I kept thinking, "Why did they put seats here?"

I guess it's a nice ride to relax on, but that doesn't explain the insanely long standby times. We waited at least 20 minutes with Fast Pass. I would go on it again, but not if I have to wait more than 5 minutes.

Everyone loves:eek: Rays cosmic starlight cafe  but I just dont get it!!! I have had better food in a hospital cafeteria... I am sorry for all those that like it but I think its horrible... even the packaged brownies that they have there arent good! :upsidedow

Festival of the Lion King, but I don't.

:faint:

I don't like the first half of test track. Boooorrrrriiiinnnnggg. But my kids love it. Personally, I like the track part. Also, don't like the smell or sight of those turkey legs - or are they pterodactyl legs? - condor legs? - they're so big they hide people's faces. Maelstrom is only OK but the movie at the end is a snore. Also Tony's. SO not too big a list but things I can do without.
