Everyone, Everyone the 42% offer is back for 2011 !!

Oh man. We had decided to do the West Coast of America next year, but this is just so tempting . . .!!

I have been breaking ours down.
17 nights OKW with Complete Orlando £2,640

3 x 21 day tix £822
17 days Best Western Lakeside £391
Total £1,213 leaving £1,427 for food. We usually average £60/day offsite =£1,020. Approx £400 or £24/day more.

Internet fees onsite cancels out parking fees offsite.

Wayne, would you consider it worth it for your family to spend an additional £400 to stay onsite? It would work out as approximately £30 per person, per day for my family. That sounds a lot to me. I suppose you are also paying for the luxury of staying onsite, free transportation, parking etc but I know I could feed my family for a couple of hundred a week as we're basically a 'pizza 'n' picnic' sort of family when we need to budget.

Hmmmm, £300 more expesive with Disney. I wonder if they would consider matching the price if you phoned them?

Its £400 + extra gratuities as meals cost more onsite than offsite. So really talking £500, also the possibility the desserts being removed. So no I don't think its worth it but for us we would enjoy the holiday as much (if not more) staying offsite and eating offsite, we feel tied to Disney staying onsite and DDP. For anyone that would rather be onsite, use Disney transport, use Extra Magic hours etc then yes its worth it.

If our relatives go with us we will give them all the options and it will be their choice. If they feel as though they will enjoy onsite more then I will pay whatever it costs.

Dessert wise - I had a brochure from the Walt Disney world travel company (official disney uk) sent me a few days ago.

It had a page re 2011 - small print said dessert for TS but not CS. Gave me hope dessert may stay for 2011.

I wouldn't miss the pre packaged CS desserts.

Off to price October 2011!

Oh yes, I forgot about your post about that earlier this week.

You see that makes the regular DDP a whole lot more practical - dessert once a day like a normal person :rotfl: and a snack - plus your beverage with each meal.

Since I like the QSDP better it looks like free dining or OOP will be better for me. Of course if they ever do like they do in the US and offer a room discount instead of free dining I would go with the discount which is almost always better for a party size like mine.

I love a good deal and the OKW and SSR deals look so good, but SSR just doesn't grab me. We popped over last year and spent some time walking around and don't get me wrong, it is lovely and I could see plenty people I know falling over themselves to get to it, but I think due to DD's age and the fact it is only us, maybe at a later stage. :goodvibes

It also has a lot to do with the fact that I dont have a car there so that could pose problematic. I wish there would be a good deal on the Poly - maybe a pin code will come my way next year if I don't jump the gun and book too soon ;)

I'm now quite happy that I booked with CO. The same booking with Disney would be well over £200 more! :thumbsup2

so glad its back was getting so worried!!!!

So maybe you'll be flashing a ticker soon :)

I was disappointed when you said you couldn't go this year - I was so looking forward to seeing pics of your girls at Disney. Now we have to wait another year! Let us know what, when and how you book. :goodvibes

I'd forgotten about gratuities.:scared1: As a family of 5, we would have to have a 2 bed and with the price of flights, we would be looking at around £7000 for OKW, 14 day Ultimates, (free DDP). That's a lot of money! I would prefer to take the cost of the 'free' DDP off the price of OKW.;)

Same here, were a family of 6 and thats how much it coming out at for us for next October £7040 then plus flights :scared1:

Silly money I know but some how I can justify it :rolleyes1

You really shouldn't have told me this - will have to have a little look :rolleyes1

A 2 bedroomed Villa for this October at SSR has been SOLD OUT since before Christmas for our dates.

We tried to change our arrival date by just one day and was told that there was no availability left.

It depends on the dates of course. Our dates (29th Oct - 5th Nov) are still available for both OKW and SSR for all room sizes, at the same price I paid. The main half-term week (23rd-30th) is a bit less available with only the studios at SSR left, but still all sizes available at OKW.

The week next year is nearly £200 more for the 1BR so can't justify paying that. Of course if the price is right then there's no reason not to book to ensure the dates you need.

I've just booked end of August 2 wks :cheer2::cheer2: so so happy we've got SSR 2 bed villa, 14 day tickets, free DDP for 7 of us!

Its my Sister, brother in law and 3 kids first time so that will be so much fun showing them around! They are completely overwhelmed by the level of information and its taking time to get it to sink in but I think we will get there in the end! lol

Our price works out quite well as we have just split the cost between us all individually which works out best for everyone.

Oh must go look for a new ticker :)

We are staying at SSR this time end september for 5 nights with free DDP but also booked DVC AKLV and paid less for the DVC than the SSR:confused3. £100 a night SSR and £80 for AKV. Ok no DDP with DVC but still a better deal I think. Tickets on top so although tempted by the offer will not book till about april next year for august(if we go!!!!).As hoping to do cruise may be off site anyway. I wouldnt hesitate to book with CO if they are cheaper. Would not pay oop for DDP if the dessert goes.As so many have said it wont be worth it.Wish they did the QS plan though to buy as that looks ok.Also like the idea of off site eating.A lot more bang for your buk as they say:thumbsup2

For us, family of 5, next october for OKW and tickets and free DDP we would be £4500 + our flights

I would have no trouble justifying it, if I could afford it!:lmao:

Yes, that's what I worked it out to be for us, plus flights at around £2500, so a grand total of £7000. And that's without spending money or any 'extras' like insurance, car hire, gratuities etc. I would love to stay onsite but I'm aiming for a grand total of £6500-£7000 to include everything.:confused3

Think we are going to book OKW, but I thought I would just pass on some info, sorry if you already know this....

I looked online for the price of just hotel and tickets and it came out cheaper than the mods ( 2571.00) but I thought I would look at the cost with flights, this came out way more expensive than the mods.....I couldn't understand this, so I phoned the booking number. They told me that if you book filight inclusive you go through a UK agent and theydo not have the discounts. When you book hotel and park tickets you book with Disney US and they recomended that I book my flights seperatly.

I thought this was interesting.....so I willl definatly be booking seperatly
