We love having breakfast at Tusker House! It is sucha wonderful breakfast. It feels like they are letting the crowd in at AK kind of early. We were out of TH for breakfast with 10 minutes to spare and walked out into a rush of people from rope drop.

It seems like yall had a great time at AK despite missing out on a few things.

Sorry toh ear about the mix up at DTD. I know it can be frustrating.

Tuskerhouse was great. It was so cool walking through the empty park. There was a CM about every 2 feet pointing you in the right direction though.


That night at DTD was annoying. It would not have been so bad if it wasn't so busy. I felt a little bad after. I guess I figured that DH knew where Once upon a toy was and that since I said to go to the marketplace, but he said later he didn't even realize there was a Marketplace-West Side-Pleasure Island. Maybe he should spend a little time on the DIS. If he had just answered his phone it would have been fine. Also if I had known DH and DD were going to get there so late I would have gone to WPE or EOS by myself and met them in POR. Now at least I know to visit DTD on a weekday afternoon or something.

Just a note:

We were sitting around eating dinner the other day. Dh and DD were looking through her autograph book. Caitlin kept talking about characters she missed and she mentioned how she wanted to see the princes. I told her that the princes would be at the Halloween party when we go to Disney in Oct. 2011. Instead of saying we're not going..blah blah blah... DH asked if he could wear a costume. Sure. He thinks he'll pick a pirate. DH and DD spent some time talking about which costume they would wear. Hmmm. I think the trip is a go

Great updates!!! First off I am glad to see the baby gorilla is getting bigger!! when i was there in march he/she ( i dont remember) was only 2 weeks old and the mom was holding him so close to her and away from the glass observation area so I didnt get to see more then a head... but it was still adorable!!! yay Secondly dont worry about not doing a whole day in AK... When Dh and I were there in July for our Disneymoon the day we went in the morning we didnt last past 1 pm because it was so gross outside it was like you couldnt breath. I just felt so bad for the animals . Anywho cant wait for the next update!!

On visiting DTD when it's not as crowded---I'd have to say good luck. I swear, every time I'm there it's packed, and I wonder ---If all these people are in DTD, who's in the parks? HA

I almost missed the baby too. There was a group of people around the window and I'm not crazy about gorillas but I figured DH wanted to check it out. Yes, DH actually wanted to do something without me having to force him. We walked over and there was the baby right next to the window. Too cute.

The baby was so cute and right next to the window.
When DH and I went to AK in 2003? we liked it but we didn't spend much time there. I knew we would be there longer since DD is obsessed with animals but I had no idea we would all enjoy it so much. It was so hot though. Next time I will leave an a day for AK and have an empty morning to go back if we choose. It would be nice to have the time to relax and take in everything. There is just so much to see everywhere you turn.

I was so sad DTD was so busy. I never remember it being that busy on all the previous trips we have gone there. I was wondering who was at the parks too! I love to shop but since it was so packed in all the stores I would just get irriated and end up getting nothing. WOD was fun of those people who just stop in the middle of the aisle for no reason and stand there
I'll try it again during the week when it opens next time, if it is as bad as it was this trip I might just cross DTD off my list for awhile and use the time in a park.

We got our photopass CD Friday. We didn't get as many pictures as I hoped, esp. the ones witht the add ins like Tink. and Minnie but I am still happy I bought it. It is nice to actually be in a few pictures to prove I was on the trip.

I'll just post the ones from the days I've done so far and save the rest for later when I get to the last few days.

As you can see Caitlin had her crocs on at dinner. She was wearing her Jasmine shoes all day but we made her switch them out in the afternoon b/c they just looked annoying to walk in. We forgot to put them back on later. Oops.

Awesome report so far! Boy you were busy this week!! If I replied to the updates I would wind up having my TR in yours!! Our trips mirror in many ways!! We wanted to try IOA or Universal but DH is not into rides so we figured that would not be a good fit for him!!

Since I don't have to worry about height requirements, I find it funny that Caitlan is too short for Primeval Whirl but not EE. My kids don't like PW because it is too "sissy"! Maybe it is the lap bar issue?? I can't remember PW's lap bar since no one wants to ride it!!

DTD is terrible at night I have determined! Afternoons are the time to go!

And hooray for a new plan for a future trip!! Something to look forward to! I am holding my breath for dates right now!!

I will be starting my TR soon but I don't know if I will be as fast as you! My work will dictate my speed! I can't wait to hear more!!

I'm sure Brandon is starting to realize that he will be going back each year. That would be great if you went at the same time. I could go out to eat with people who actually eat. And Caitlin would be thrilled. She would of course try to tell you everything about Disney as though you have never been there. She was trying to tell me EE was called Thunder Mountain the other day for some reason. I finally gave up arguing. I wasn't going to win.

I love Chip and Dale. I am so glad they are on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse otherwise DD wouldn't know who they are.

Still reading along and enjoying all of your updates. Your day at AK looked like so much fun. That park is always so hot, even on a cool day, I'm usually hot at AK. I am sorry the evening at DTD didn't work out the way you'd planned. I have never been there in the evening, but I have always heard that is the place to avoid at night.

My goodness, I have been slacking. I have tons of excuses. Broken computer, messy house, working way too much overtime blah blah blah!

Anyway.... I took my national certicfication test yesterday and passed. I am now officially done with radiography school and am certified! I just finished packing up the books I am keeping and sold a few textbooks online. I am so relieved to be done! No more studying ever!

Now I can spend time on Dis and not feel like I should be hitting the books.

Since the beginning of June I have been training 40 hrs a week at the hospital and on Mon. I start working by myself! I will only be working 24-40 hours during July instead of 40 each week. I am so glad. I am exhausted.

When I got hired the said we could take any shifts as long as we stayed under 40 hours a week. Everytime I am there they ask me to stay. Um, I passed 40 hrs. No problem! Yes, for time and a half!!!!

Last week when I was there I was scheduled 8-4 and around 2:30pm a tornado touched down in the town of the hospital I work in. Tornadoes in CT!!! Crazy.!!! Of course the hospital was in emergency mode and I ended up working 8- midnight! Then they asked me to come in 4am-noon on Sat my day off. It has been a crazy busy month. I really need to say no when they ask me to work all the time, but since I am per diem I could have no hours once Spt, and Oct comes around so I figure I'll take everything I can for now.

Caitlin finished Kindergarten about a week ago.
My baby will be going to first grade. Where does the time go?

Alright, where were we?

Friday morning. May 28-- Our check out of POR and move to offsite

Leaving POR

I was sad to be leaving but I was very excited about having a jacuzzi tub in the hotel room. My legs were killing me and the tub would come in handy.

We had an easy check out and stopped in the food court for breakdast. We had 7 meal credits left, but need 6 for lunch and dinner. John got a platter to share and I picked up a cinnamon roll and grapes with snacks credits. We filled out mugs one last time and then hit the road to DHS.

Today was SWW. Yay!
We actually managed to get here around 8:40am for a 9:00am opening. Wow!

We waited to be let in and decided to start at the Little Mermaid since we missed it last time. It didn't start for awhile so we just chilled out. I am so glad we had a previous day in DHS so we could take our time today.

Darn it! I hear everyone waking up. I'll finish up later.
