Ok for those parents who's kids are learning Everyday Math do you know where there is a resource to print the homework?

DD has consistently forgotten her homework the last few nights and I've scowered the internet looking for a place to print it off from.

I teach 4th grade and we use EDM. I don't know of any online resource for homework. In the upper grades we have Study Links books, I think they are called Home Links in the lower grades. The only other place that I know of to get copies of those are in a masters book that the teacher gets (to reproduce).

We just adopted EDM this year and we hate it!!! There's not much practice for the kids, and there's no rhyme or reason for what's taught. It's even worse in the upper grades because the book assumes they already know how to do the skills. BTW, we did not vote on it. Even a couple teachers who piloted the program last year voted against it.

First and foremost-HATE EM! Second there is no online resource for homework. Your kid either brings his/her homework home or not. Our school district adopted this junk 2 years ago and I just teach my kids old math on my own-"math triangles" how 'bout old school flash cards? Plus the curriculum is all over the place. UGH!

Our district just started it this year as well and I so hate it. They will not move my daughter up to 2nd grade Math (she is in 1st grade but did 1st grade Math in K) and she is not being challenged by this stupid Math. Now she does not want to do her Math because she already knows it and is bored (my son did this when he was not challenged as well at this age). They tried to make my 6th grader repeat 6th grade Math under this program until I contacted the VP at her school and asked her why my daughter (GT student and tests high on state tests) was being made to repeat 6th grade Math and the VP said they had to do all this testing and whatnot. My 6th grader tests at 12.9 plus on one of the tests they do in the Fall and Spring on math and they made her take a bunch of other tests. She aced those tests and they moved her up but it is ridiculous the hoops they have to jump through to get advanced to a more appropriate Math level for them.

Sorry for the vent but I so hate this program and it is such a waste in My opinion.

I am in my fifth year of teaching Everyday Math (First Grade). I hate it as well. My coworkers hate EM also. But I feel like we are stuck with it since the administrators all love it. In 1st, it skips around like crazy. There is no time to get a grip on new skills as we are off to something different the next day. Often the homework page for the day has nothing to do with the lesson that was taught in class. :headache:
I know of no online resources to print homework pages. Sorry.
I have searched online before and found some similar EM games. You might try that.

My kids are in their 3rd year of EDM but I have never seen an online resource for it. There are some things I like about it, others not so much. But since that is not what you asked, I'll spare you my 2 cents. Wish I could help with the forgetting the homework thing!

I teach EM also. Ask your teacher to supply you with a set of homework for the unit. In other words they can send home a stapled packet of the homework all together for each unit. I have parents that use this as a backup plan when students forget or lose their homework before the get home:) I tell my parents that I skip some homework and to just ignore those pages.

NOT for math homework but if your child needs to practice math skills try www.aaamath.com it's for K thru about 8th grade covers many many kinds of math.
