Everyday Life Swap COMPLETE

I still haven't assembled my coffee titles but I want to show you one of the effects of the UTEE. This is the card I made for DH for Valentine's Day.

This was about three fairly thin layers. For small things like these letters, I would do six or more layers to crack the piece. A large area only needs three or so layers.

Let me know if you have questions.

Also, I wanted to post this yarn embellishment I made. I was trying to explain to Mazda how to ball the yarn to make it look like knitting.

WOW tinkerbean!!!! love all your stuff. and you said your new to it??? it all came out beautiful. i don't have a dog, but boy if i did i'd be wishin' i was in that group!

and shauna love that cat with the yarn!

Checking in...sorry, I thought I did...

I have my sketches, and was going to start today...but this !@#$%^ bug that DH shared has me laid low...

LOVE what everyone has posted so far! So glad I'm in the dog group :dogdance: That bar is set high on this swap, going to check my sketches, I think I need to change some things up....

I knew you were still here Debbie :) . Just a technicality and all.

I love the yarn ball the cat is playing with, that is soo cute. Dimensional elements are some of my favorites to look at.

The bar is set pretty high this time, isn't it. Especially with the "newbie" going all professional on us. :teeth:

The UTEE stuff looks a lot like the glossy effects. Does it make the paper warp? I have that problem with glossy effects. When I just want to highlight a few things on the flat paper, it makes the paper wave. Then I need to glue all the edges down so it doesn't look ridiculous.

I like my stuff to be dimensional as well and I just loved the way the ball of yarn turned out.

UTEE typically does not warp but I was tired and in a hurry so I wasn't patient with the pieces. Also, larger pieces don't warp at all but smaller pieces have a tendency to curl a bit. These letters were cut at 2 1/2" so they are pretty tiny.

OMG - :rotfl: now I'm laughing at my own stuff...I am so tired and in so much pain (siatic I think/hope) that now all I can do is laugh (my dh thinks I've taken painkillers and that's what is making me loopy but I haven't yet)

have you been to a chiropractor? I lived at my chiro when I was pregnant with the last 3 kids, my sciatic nerve about killed me!

I have fibromyalgia and things just hurt sometimes, althougth this pain has been pretty bad lately. I LOVE my accupunturist and my chiro when I can get to them. The only problem with the chiro is that it usually takes a day or two to recover from the adjustment so I have to plan accordingly.

I took some vicodin and muscle relaxants earlier, since dh is now home and now I can actually sit down (the heat pad helps too)

That shucks! LOL
Seriously though my uncle has fibromyalgia too. He just started seeing an acupuncturist recently and doing yoga. he says it's helping but he had to retire from teaching. he couldn't stand for that length of time anymore.
Do you think it's the cold weather that aggravates the symptoms?

Yeah, cold wet weather seems to do me in. I also tend to over do it (alot). I have always been a *very* active - I can do everything myself kind of person, so having to adjust my mind set has been a challenge (what do you mean I can't move both dressers across the hall and into the other room by myself?)

Love yoga too (funny the cats LOVE when I do yoga - there crawl all over me "whatcha doing mom")

Just told DH about aw sucks / aw shucks - he is :rotfl:
