Does anyone else think this way? Every time the tix price increases, I think about the absurdity of spending $1500-2k for just tickets per trip.
I think about how our DW trip is $6-7k each, even with our DVC.
I think about how the monies might be better spent on another vacation, for the same money or even less.
I think about the fact that our dvc has actually appreciated since we bought, and we should just take the profit now.
But DH said he wants to keep for another 7 more years, until our youngest is 9 years old, before selling. It really is all about the kids sometimes, isn't it?
But I think about selling dvc and no longer going to DW to save money very time the ticket prices go up.

You must have a large family & own a lot of points or something? Makes me glad now that we only own 250 points! We use studios and usually buy AP's and take multiple trips / year but we've never come close to spending THAT MUCH on a single trip. Even when we went to DL & Aulani we didn't spend that much (and we splurged a lot there). I figure we're spending a little over $6K this year (including annual dues) for 3 family trips (24 nights) and 1 quickie adults only trip during F&W last fall. If we were spending that much PER TRIP then YES, we'd have to consider selling. Guess we're fairly frugal?! Sometimes we fly & sometimes we drive (if I can't find cheap enough flights we drive). We eat breakfasts "in" and will plan about 6 TS meals for an 8 night trip. The rest we'll eat CS. I buy Disney gift cards every week to bring and go down & have them applied at the front desk. I try to bring about $125-150 worth per day and budget accordingly when we're dining or shopping. My goal is to not have to let anything hit the credit card that we put on the room. To balance this $6K annual spending out we'll likely sort of take a year off after our summer trip this year. Our AP's expire in July and DS won't be able to join us so we'll probably just lay back & plan for summer 2017. It will be a long year without any trips but that's sort of what we've been doing all along. We hit it hard every other year & lay out / off inbetween.
