My neice just called to book a last minute trip and was told every room is booked at DW except Best Western DTD (300$), AKL 5000 for 3 rooms and saratoga. She had finally talked her fiancee in staying inside DW and this happened. I guess its the special with free nights.

Expedia has the Dolphin for $169/nite and a number of the DTD resorts (non Disney) such as Best Western Lake Buena Vista for $76/nite, and the Regal Sun which appears to be right across the street from DTD for $69/nite. As cheap as the last two are, the savings would pay for a rental car. Good luck to your neice.

All-Star Sports.I got a rate almost identical to the Passholder rate which was unavailable through Disney at this late date.I had checked several days and this special rate just appeared one day.

Loving Lastminutetravel.com. Been booking there recently when I can determine which hotel I'm looking at. All the amenities help in that regard.

This was my first time ever using a room broker.Disney had ZERO rooms at any price at the Values for 3 of my nights.Since I had no experience in this area,I didn't know what to expect and was so excited to get this deal.I didn't have any trouble finding out which Resort it was-they mention the name of the Food Court(End Zone) in the Resort description and All-Star Sports is what I wanted.LMT really came through!

We had trouble getting a room. We were looking for a room at one of the mods (CSR in particular), and they were sold out, at least the 9th and 10th, so we had to go with the Poly....oh darn, we HAVE to stay at the Poly....bummer

AKL is showing savannah view room for $1509. Not sure what the budget it. PS that was $1509 for all of the nights & NOT $1509 per night.

OP, did your neice try calling back? There is a several options available for rack rate. Maybe she couldn't get anything on a discount?

I even found a pirate themed room at Carribean for $174/night available.
