Looks like EPCOT has EMH on Saturday, so that's probably the final park for the day.

MK and DAK both open at 8 AM, and it's a party day for MK, so it should be a little slower the usual form 8 AM to 4 PM.

jimmyml - Are you going to share your strategy, or at least the list of rides you'll be doing?

Hi StarCruiser. I'm Jimmy's brother and companion for this trek into the possible.

As far as strategy is concerned, we'd rather not get too much into specifics. Some of it has already been guessed just due to logistics of how to maximize your time in the parks in regards to park hours and lines. We are planning on posting a write up on our day afterwards though.

One thing that we want to specify though is that we are not planning on using any Disney help. In other words, no cast members will give us any special help or anything like that. Neither of us are CMs (he lives in AZ and I live in West Palm Beach). We are doing this as guests. We can use FP+. We can use Xtra Magic Hours. We can use single rider lines. We will not be skipping to the front of any line.

Hope that helps. We have done a LOT of planning and hopefully things go the way we want them to.

Questions: How are you getting between parks? Are you driving yourself, or using Disney transportation? We have had it take a full hour between parks. Also, I assume no bags for bag check? You better pack light. And what is your predicted order? Which FP+ do you already have? Thanks.

We are going to TRY to use a variety of transportation. Yes, the buses are on the table. We will also have my car up there, however, we aren't planning on driving to each park that way. Pretty much any way of getting to a park is an option for us. Obviously, we have to maximize our time in the parks and not sitting outside waiting on something.

We are definitely not planning on bringing anything that will slow us at the security check points. Therefore, no bags.

Well, considering the Xtra magic hours of HS in the am and MK in pm, I'll turn this around. What do YOU think we have FP+ for?

I guess I should have raised the sarcasm flag higher.

This is one of the refrains of some of the most ardent opponents of FP+, who have said that because of FP+ and the massive increases in standby lines that it has created, you can only do 3-4 rides in a day without long waits. Some have said that they just use their 3 FPs and leave the park in frustration because the lines are too long.

That has not been our experience.

Yes we know. 90% of the people on these boards know. Because you take every opportunity to let us know. Even on a fun thread like this you have to turn it into another FP+ argument. Give it a rest - PLEASE.

Presumably, anything with a vehicle that actually moves from one place to another is a ride, but besides that? Main Street vehicles?

Presumably, this Saturday's odyssey will include similar strategies to take maximum advantage of rope drop, extra magic hours, single rider lines, FPs, and knowledge of lines and crowd patterns to hit all of the rides. No matter what, there are elements of luck involved because ride closures and weather can throw a monkey wrench into the best laid plans.

While not many people have the desire or energy to do something like this, the strategies they use can be looked at in small segments to show how anyone can do a significant number of attractions in a relatively short period of time. Even they will have to deal with some standby lines in the middle of the day.

Wishing y'all short lines, beautiful weather, crowds that part like the red sea, transportation that runs like the Indy 500, rides up and running without a glitch, magnificent bladder control, and a darn good time. I will think about y'all all day and look forward to the report!

So, you're saying I roughed things in pretty good. Looking at park hours and rides opened A quick guess was fairly easy. But I've been planning a 4 park trip for Jan. 4 my goal is 31 Attractions for the day (combinations of rides and shows) + Monorail and possibly Friendship boats. Planning around getting to the MK for the 3:00 parade, Wishes and MSEP has been a challenge.

Johde, you didn't rough things up at all. You have just used some good reasoning to think about what to do. Probably has something to do with you planning out your own day. However, some things we have to worry about are things like Tom Sawyer, which opens at 10 but closes at 5:00 and the Safari, which closes at 4:45. That's not counting Main Street Transportation, which is only supposed to run until 10:15.

So you're planning on hitting the parade, wishes, MSEP, and 31 attractions between multiple parks? Wow. That feat might rival ours just because we have to plan at being certain places during those events to capitalize on ride times. So you'll lose those great times for rides for that. Good luck! Maybe with what we do you'll find something that gives you a spark of inspiration.

First, good luck. I hope it goes well for you.
Second, Why? I mean it just sounds crazy. . Will you actually have fun?
Third, I am a skeptic. I don't think it can be done. Too many variables you can't account for.

We were there this past weekend and had at least three circumstances beyond our control: 1. TSM broke down. We were evacuated which took about 30 minutes. 2. ToT was down earlier in the day, causing a 40 minute FP+ wait. 3. Someone moved during CoP causing a repeat of a time period.

Just don't think you have enough time cushion for those upredictables.

And most likely, some stroller pushing soccer mom or grumpy scooter driving geezer will take you out... because that's what's on there list...
