I am new to both Lyft and Uber. I have been hesitant to use them for several reasons. What the heck do you do if you have a dangerous driver? I was in a serious accident last year so I have a lot of anxiety in cars. Also, how do you know some nut case isn't picking you up? What kind of vetting do either of the companies do? Lastly, car safety. Are the vehicles forced to maintain a certain maintanence standard? I know I sound like a rube - but I would like to take advantage just scared. It has to be putting taxi drivers out of business. Doesn't seem fair when they have to buy into their job. PS. Not a fan of Airbnb either. My next door neighbor does it. Nothing sucks more then buying a single family home in a quiet neighborhood and having your loser neighbor rent his home out. Makes me crazy.
