Everest Review...

We rode it four times during the "Sneak Peak" days in January for annual passholders. Overall, it's a great ride. Smooth, not too scary and we really liked the going backwards part. You really go pretty fast for awhile and it's definitely more fun than that part on the Norway ride at Epcot.
I think Mission Space is still my favorite ride even though I think they've slowed it down even more. I rode it when it first openned and it seemed to have been really cranked up. I could barely walk straight afterwards.

The ride as it was built in Florida has never been toned down. It only seems "cranked up" the first time because it was your first time.

I don't get this. The Everest ride is open then just not officially? Why would they wait until April if they were already using it in Jan.? :confused3 I would think they would of officially opened it for spring break since that is a peak time at DW.!!!

I'm not so sure and why are all the disney folks so tight lipped about how many G forces it puts one through? Rollercoaster builders usually like to brag about their G forces.

I can't speek for why they keep it a secret, but I can assure you that the ride at Epcot has never been toned down. The most likely reason they don't release the number of G forces is that it is not all that impressive. On M:S it is not the number of G's that is important is that amount of time they are sustained.

It's not "Open." It is only in a soft opening situation. It is only open sometimes on somedays for mostly tests and tests of guest reaction.. The ride is still not 100% finished.

Thanks Peter!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will be open sometime while we're at DW. I'm glad I got park hoppers!!! :teeth:

Rode it this weekend have to say a great ride . DB and I just loved it went into park about 1:00 and got fastpass to ride it. :thumbsup2
