OUr plan is to go to AK on a EMH day. One of us will go to Everest to get fastpasses and then we will meet at safari. We could do it the other way around.

Will the fastpass machines be open right away?

it should be but...we I went this past oct the fastpass was not working right away...my boyfriend and I were there for the rope drop and went right to EE to find that a cast member was telling us the fastpass was not working at the moment...we went to the safari and the fastpass was working...IM sure this doesnt happen all the time...

get there for the rope drop mickey minnie goofy pluto put on a cute show for everyone and then you can walk to EE

Another good plan is to go to EE first, get your FP and get in the standby line ride and then go to the safari and come back when it is time for your FP. The line first thing in the morning will be short and believe me you will want to ride this twice.

Ditto to what Hannathy said -that is what we did on our trip two weeks ago, and we were glad we did. The lines grew exponentially as the morning went on, but we rode Everest first thing in the morning from the standby line after having grabbed a fastpass. I only wish we knew how much we would all love it - we could easily have ridden it four or five times!

Also the queue line is not to be missed it's great and even better when not standing in it for 90mins. So early morning is just perfect for going through it.

last year we tried to do it the other way around. I went straight to safari and Fast Passed it. DH and kids went straight to EE, we were there at roap drop. Well, the line was an hour when he got there????? How was that possible???? No clue. So we road other things and waited for our window to fast pass EE. Worked out okay, but will do it the other way this year.

Wow, we just went last week. Were there for the rope drop but got slightly detoured to the bathrooms and Africa. By the time we got to EE there was a bigger line for the FP system than for the actual line itself. So it seemed anyway.

My advice then would be to get the FP for EE FIRST and then ride it in the standby line.

I assume you mean ASIA.

If you detoured to the facilities in AFRICA on the way to EE, you really took the SCENIC ROUTE!

Maybe you were there the same day as me!! The Fastpass machines kept breaking and there wasn't a CM right away to help out so the line just....stalled. I finally gave up waiting for a CM, and found a CM elsewhere. They grabbed the EE FP CM when he came nearby, and they took me to get my fastpass (of course by then, it was for much later than it should have been). Oh, and after the FP machine broke, the Standby line was already at 40 minutes. Blech.

Def. the way to go:thumbsup2

Last year, in July, I took my son on the safari while my husband took our two girls to EE. They got FPs for later, then rode EE four times before we got to them off of the safari! Now granted, we did have a stall on the safari and sat for about 10 minutes, but they were laughing so hard because they were able to ride the most incredible attraction so many times! Needless to say, they finally rode it with me and I love this attraction!
