Everest at closing time

should I get a fast pass for Everest at closing time or are the lines usually small at that time anyway?

Lines will be short. Book your fastpasses for late morning/early afternoon.

Agreed - at the moment, people still tend to start leaving AK before it closes. Our family loves it and generally stay until they kick us out. The crowd situation is likely to change dramatically over the next year or two as the nighttime show and safari get started and, eventually, as Pandora/Avatar opens.

Agree with the PPs. This year EE was a walk on for DH near closing. He did it 2-3 times while I did a bit of shopping.

I wouldn't go crazy trying to get FP at closing time, but if you have the ability to get one, why not promise yourself a short wait?

The kids have hit Everest 6 times in 45 minutes starting at about 4 pm several times. No FP+ required. The park does tend to empty early and the lines do get really short. The only exception may be Kali, where many guests prefer to wait until later in the day to get wet.
